I do have some good news..Avi has a way to perform this off the table so for the flash appearance of the 3 coins (the only part that really requires a table) that happens all in the hands. He sent me the video recently and it looks great!

I like the method here and there are some nice surprises, but if you don t intend to perform this as-written - and you may not, because it s so personal to Feldman and his style - you might be better served by other existing methods. The magician indicates the spectator hold the deck face down in deal grip and to deal very slowly face up cards on the table, and place freely only one card face down and continue dealing face up cards, only three or four cards after the face down card when the magician reveals it is exactly the same card that the prediction, very stunning.

I really can't say enough good things about this version of the Charming Chinese Challenge!
Avi Yap quietly developed this routine amongst friends during the pandemic and the end result is pure magic. I'm proud to have been part of that process and to see Avi's masterpiece finally available for the magic community.

Check out a full uncut performance from Avi here. The ending is just crazy!

Yeah, the surprise appearance fooled me bad the first time I saw it years ago and the melting off of the 3 coins together is just..too good!

Posted: Oct 9, 2023 05:19 pm Wow! Love it!! The reappearance of the coins at the end is really good. Posted: Oct 9, 2023 10:45 pm

Already purchased this, saw Avi perform it same time Luke did, all of us in the "lounge" were speechless at the end, as most are when they see Avi's work, this, or coin work.

That's definitely the most magical version of CCC yet. Wonderful moments.

My only hesitation in buying this is that some discrepancies are nagging at me. These occur when three coins are picked up or threaded, but a moment later a spectator might easily notice that only two coins are there. The two are not effectively masquerading as three.

This happens at :25 and 1:34, is blatant at 1:39, and then occurs again at 1:46 and 1:53. I believe any interested, amazed spectator would be watching pretty closely as the routine unfolds - and might see the anomaly repeatedly.

Any thoughts on this issue from those who've seen the routine performed for a live audience?

Agree with discrepancies, I’m a coin freak and really like the look of the coins. Luke is it possible to order an extra coin with the effect?

I watched this yesterday, twice, and feel the same way. Also, what about [ noise? Parlor with music might not be much of an issue, but strolling?

If you've performed this, what's your take on the discrepancies? Thanks.

Nobody is a pretty bold thought. He did, I did, and. What about sound? This is a [ on a string.

I would also add that one of the appeals of the original CCC is chest height performance off the table. This really does look great but seems to require a medium amount of table space. I was never awesome at the Matrix but the need for a table is one of the reasons I didn’t get to do it much.

Agreed! This is off table and everyone can see. Minimal pocket space and very good visuals. Posted: Oct 10, 2023 04:45 pm Quote:

We have a live chat tonight with Avi at 8:30pm EST but in the meantime I've sent him a message asking how he plans on sharing that extra handling as it wasn't included on the instructional.

Reviews for "Mastering Unconventional Magic Tricks at The Magic Cafe: Advanced Techniques Revealed"

1. John Smith - 2 stars
I was quite disappointed with "The Magic Cafe Advanced and Extraordinary". I found the tricks to be predictable and lacking in originality. The presentation was also lackluster and didn't engage the audience. Overall, I felt like I've seen better performances from amateur magicians. It just didn't live up to the hype for me.
2. Emily Johnson - 1 star
"The Magic Cafe Advanced and Extraordinary" was anything but advanced or extraordinary. The tricks were the same old tired tricks you can see in any average magic show. There was nothing unique or groundbreaking about the performance. The magician's stage presence was also lacking, making the whole experience quite underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money on this show.
3. David Thompson - 2 stars
I found "The Magic Cafe Advanced and Extraordinary" to be quite underwhelming. The tricks were easily decipherable, leaving no sense of wonder or amazement. The magician's execution was also sloppy at times, making the performance feel unprofessional. Overall, it just felt like a mediocre magic show that didn't deliver on its promise of being advanced or extraordinary.
4. Sarah Adams - 2 stars
I had high hopes for "The Magic Cafe Advanced and Extraordinary" but was left disappointed. The tricks were not as mind-boggling or impressive as I expected. The presentation lacked creativity and failed to captivate the audience. It felt like a rushed and amateurish performance. Unfortunately, it fell short of being an advanced or extraordinary magic show in my opinion.
5. Michael Wilson - 1 star
"The Magic Cafe Advanced and Extraordinary" was a complete letdown. The tricks were basic and lacked any wow-factor. The magician's delivery was dull, and the show dragged on without any excitement. It felt like a wasted opportunity to witness something truly advanced or extraordinary. I would advise seeking out other magic performances instead.
