Wilding the Witches: A Samhain One-Day Retreat

Halloween, All Hallow’s Eve, is also known in Celtic & earth-based lineages as Samhain, the Witches’ New Year. It marks the end of summer, and starts a new great turning of the wheel of the year. This year, we also have a magic full moon to help howl us into a new way of being.

What does it mean to be a witch and to be wild?

. To embrace your untamed and undomesticated self.
. To be in communion with all that is through connection with the earth and the cycles of nature - including the moon and the seasons.
. To know that this world is far greater than what we experience with our five senses.
. To know that magic swirls all around us at all times.
. To always find the mystical in the mundane.
. To dance in the polarities and contradictions that make up all of life, including ourselves. You are not this or that. Life is not black and white.

We witches can hold it all.

This Samhain we will venture into the strange, into the shadow. This time of year the veil is the thinnest between this world and the Otherworld. With one foot in each world, we embrace the “in between,” all of our paradoxes, and weave the web of our creativity, wildness, and weirdness. In the words of David Bowie, “Turn and face the strange.”

Through movement, yoga, dance, spellwork, art-making, and communion with each other and with nature, we will dive into the themes of the season, banish that which no longer serves us, and call in our intentions for this blessed new year. Imagine the energy of strong transformation. What skin will be shed and what lies underneath? What will be birthed from this sacred egg? What will rise from the ashes?

All will be revealed.

Reviews for "The Witch Trials and The Lead Witch in Fort Myers"

- Michelle - 1 star
I was really disappointed with "The Lead Witch Fort Myers". The story was confusing and hard to follow, and the characters were one-dimensional and uninteresting. The dialogue was stilted and unnatural, making it difficult to connect with any of the characters. Overall, I found the whole experience underwhelming and would not recommend it to others.
- Brian - 2 stars
"The Lead Witch Fort Myers" had so much potential, but it fell flat for me. The pacing was off, with long periods of stagnation and sudden bursts of action that didn't feel organic to the story. The plot itself was convoluted and lacked coherence, leaving me feeling confused and frustrated. Additionally, the writing style was clunky and overly descriptive, making it a chore to read. I was hoping for a captivating witch story, but unfortunately, this was not it.
- Amanda - 2.5 stars
While "The Lead Witch Fort Myers" had some intriguing elements, I ultimately found it lacking. The world-building felt thin and underdeveloped, leaving me with more questions than answers. The main character's motivations were unclear, making it difficult to sympathize or root for her. The pacing was also a bit sluggish, and I found myself losing interest at times. Overall, I think the book had potential, but it needed more polish and a stronger narrative to fully captivate me.
