The Waning Power: Protecting Yourself from the Crystal Pineapple Curse

By admin

The curse of the crystal pineapple is a fascinating legend that has been passed down through generations. According to the folklore, there was once a mighty king who possessed a precious crystal pineapple. It was said to hold immense power and bring great fortune to its owner. However, anyone who tried to steal or possess the crystal pineapple would be cursed for eternity. Legend has it that the curse was unleashed when a greedy warlord attempted to steal the crystal pineapple from the king's palace. As soon as the warlord touched the pineapple, a thunderous roar echoed through the palace, and the crystal turned blood red.

The curse of the crystal pineapple

As soon as the warlord touched the pineapple, a thunderous roar echoed through the palace, and the crystal turned blood red. From that moment on, the warlord was plagued by misfortune, losing his wealth, power, and eventually his life. Since then, many others have tried to obtain the crystal pineapple, believing that they could withstand the curse.

Pirate Shore

The very first room in this area of the map is not hard to navigate, but if you wish to get the optional chest here, then you're in for a fun time. Underneath the first platform with the ladder, there is a little spot you can stand on without being swept away by the water. This has a switch on it, which when hit, will place some sparklies around the map, five in total. The problem is that you're on a timer and waters pushing you downward really don't help in touching all of the sparklies. There are springs throughout, with the yellow ones mainly launching you back to the top, by the switch, while the blue ones shoot you in different directions.

Four of the sparklies are towards the right side as you're falling down, with the last one being towards the left, not too far from the slingshot at the bottom. The last two are in the open, making them a little more challenging to get, as you don't have solid ground to help you get to the next one. It will take some practice and some time, but you will eventually hit all five sparklies, spawning a blue chest in the bottom right, holding a Power Gem. Once you've gotten it, head left and take the ladder at the end to arrive in the proper part of Pirate Shore.

The first sparkle can be found just left of the switch that activates them.
The second sparkle is found on the right side, below the switch at the top. You'll want to jump to the right from the first water slide.
The third sparkle is found below the second one, to the right side. This will probably be the hardest to reach, as it's higher in the air and requires some good jumping to get it.
The fourth sparkle is in the air, to the right of the final water slide that sends you to the very bottom.
The final sparkle can be found down and to the left of the fourth one. If using the slingshot at the bottom, you will need to direct your jump to the left to try and reach it.

Delicious Pork Stew

The first thing you will see is a Magic Shop, so do with that as you need, then continue left to come across an equipment shop and a blacksmith. The Killer Dagger is a nice purchase, as it has two attack and with a Power Gem, you can unlock a poison effect on it; the weapon also attacks very fast. It's also a good idea to upgrade the Prince Tunic at the blacksmith, granting you poison immunity, and the Prince Boots, giving you a faster movement speed. Move onto the next screen and speak to the NPC on the ship, who is fast asleep and mumbling about some "roasty pork stew."

A little more to the left of that is a large pot and a signpost. Read it to find out what you need to make this pork stew, which will be your main goal right now. First thing you should do is go after one of the collectibles, as it's close by. Transform into the lion and look for the button on the ground by the water's edge, so smash it to start a timer and make some coins appear. You will need to sprint across the water while collecting the coins, then jump over the small gap to the platform with the stack of cannonballs. Collect all the coins while doing this to make Music Sheet - It's A Treasure Box III appear.

Back to the task at hand, let's gather the first of the ingredients for the pork stew, the Aronia Berries. The busted down ship you ran on as the lion for the Music Sheet before has some wooden platforms above it, one with a bunch of wooden boxes. Use the lion's dash to break enough boxes to gain access to the floating platform to the right of it. For the next part, you will make use of the frog's tongue on rings and slingshots. It's a bit tricky, but the first two slingshots will mean going in the opposite direction, so keep a lookout for the rings after using those. Once you get near the top of the screen, it's just a little more to the right before you launch yourself to the platform with the Aronia Berries in a chest.

Purchase the Killer Dagger from the shop, as its attack speed makes it a good substitute (left). Don't forget to upgrade it, too, to give it a poison effect (right).

The second item you're going after is the Turnip, which is underwater. Go to the second pool of water and dive down with the frog. On the right side, you should find some moss, which is part of a maze-like area with a bunch of water currents. So, change into your snake form and follow the initial path, breaking the rocks along the way. When you get to the first current that you can actually use, let it take you to the right and an air bubble. These air bubbles will become important, as you won't be able to switch back to the frog at this time. After using the air bubble, go down and hit the lever there to change the orientation of the shell to your left.

Head back up, use the current to return left and back down to the other current. There will be another lever to your right, so hit that one, grab the air to the right of that and hit a third lever to your south. Things should now be in place for you to take the initial current, which will take you to the bottom right, where the Music Sheet - Last Dungeon III awaits. Grab the air bubble and hit the third lever again, then have the initial current bring you towards the lower left. Feel free to grab the coins in the one narrow passage, but you will want to use the current on the left to get to the chest with the Turnip.

The third item, the Pineapple, takes a little bit of work to get. Swim back up to the surface and look to the background to see some explosive barrels and a chest. Jump up to the ledge with the cannonballs and use the pig's sniffer to find some invisible platforms. These will lead you to the platform with a cannon, which means you'll have to bring a cannonball over to it with the frog. Spit out the cannonball into the cannon, then either hit the cannon with a fireball or the Fire Sword to light it and send a shot roaring into the background. However, the cannon will only shoot straight, so you'll need to adjust it to hit the other two barrels.

That's where the lion comes into play, as his dash maneuver can push the cannon to the left or right. Do this on the other two barrels to make a chest slide down and land on a floating platform in the air. You should still be at the cannon and there are more invisible platforms to the left of it, with one normal one. Get to this one and jump towards the wall to find a hidden chest, which contains some Gold Boots Parts. Use the remaining invisible platforms to reach a ring and swing over to the earlier chest, holding the final ingredient, the Pineapple.

The wall by the one wooden platform is fake, which is where you'll find a chest with the Gold Boots Part.

Go back to the large cooking pot to have Jin toss in the ingredients. Light the wood underneath the pot, then transform into a pig and dive in. While your character is flashing red, hurry and speak to the sleeping pirate, who asks you to go look for his pirate crew. He'll hand over a Percy Bomb, which can destroy huge rocks that are even underwater.

Under the Sea

In the first underwater section, swim to the bottom to find a very large boulder with an "X" on it. Stand on top of the X to have Jin use the Percy Bomb, blowing it to smithereens. Swim through the giant hole in the ground to find a bunch of sea mines. Strike them with your sword to begin their detonation, making sure to make some distance between you and them when they do explode. This path is pretty linear and when it looks like it diverges, the right one is actually a strong current, so you won't be able to go that way. Just below that one, you will encounter strong currents with red mines.

At the first set of mines, there's a blue chest containing a Power Gem. After this just squeeze through in between the mines and continue downward. Once you reach the end, it looks like there's a path on the right, but it just brings you to the current that'll put you back at the one before, so ignore it and exit through the bottom. This room will be a swim through a darkened area, with a lot of mines, which hurt a lot if you manage to get damaged by them (2 hits will drain all of your health, so be extra careful). You can dash with the frog underwater to break through the blocks at the second mine. Not long after that, you will come to a part with mines attached to ropes, that get cut by crabs.

At the very first instance of this, you should notice a blue chest to the right of the crabs, but you can't reach it from right there. Instead, you'll need to delve a little deeper. Underneath that platform with the three crabs is a bomb block that you won't be able to destroy yourself, so you'll need to find another way. As you go further down, more mines will be free from their bindings, so keep a lookout, but what you should really focus on is a mine on the right side. When you see this one floating upwards, follow it to the bomb block and watch it be blown to bits.

You cannot access this chest from above (left), but you'll need to follow one of the floating mines to the top, where it will blow open a way for you to get the chest (right).

Open the chest for a Power Gem, then continue with your descent down this giant shaft. You'll have to swim back up a little bit to avoid the line of mines, but the rest of the way is the same stuff as previously, so head to the next area. The next area is also dark, so make sure you have the proper equipment on that helps illuminate things. There are two ways to go down here, left and right. Left leads to a door and a crystal in a small section that cannot be accessed right now, with some colored crystals beyond that. Lighting them up will showcase a number of lights above them, like the yellow one showing three lights above it. This will come into play in a little bit, so put it in the back of your mind.

The only way to continue down here is to the right, so start heading in that direction. This place may seem like a maze, but stick to the top until you can head downwards. Once you reach the bottom, go all the way left to find a Music Sheet - Danger Zone II. To the right, there are three paths, a top, middle and bottom. The top has nothing, while the middle houses a crystal that illuminates the surrounding area, and the bottom leads to another maze that requires the snake form. Since you'll be in snake form, you'll be losing oxygen, which means you need to seek out air bubbles.

The first one is along the upper path, right before another crystal to help light up the area. Stick to the upper area, until one final dead end, where you can take the middle path to an open area with some colored crystals and levers. First things first, change back to your frog to keep yourself from drowning, then sink to the bottom and head through the door in the bottom left corner. This will put you on the far left side of the main area, where the initial set of colored crystals were located. Hit the crystal next to the door to open the metal gear, allowing access to those colored crystals.

From here, you can light them up again to view the lights above them, which will indicate the number of times you need to hit the levers on the far right.

  • Red (2)
  • Yellow (3)
  • Green (1)
  • Blue (3)
  • Purple (1)

You have to hit them in the order above and when you do, the wall in the bottom right will recede. Continue in that direction and through the next door. This vertical section requires you to use the currents to reach the top, but you can't just use any single one you want. For the first set, ride the horizontal current and for the second, go in between and use the horizontal one to get to the right current heading upwards. This brings you to a chest, which holds 50 gold coins. Double back and take the other one, where you'll arrive at a third current. For this one, you need to ride the horizontal current, but use your tongue on the slingshot halfway through to get higher.

The same will hold true for the next set of currents, but there are two slingshots this time. Hit the left slingshot to be brought to another chest, containing 20 gold coins, then make your way to the top (this one is required, too). Take the current on the right side back down, as there's one more chest in the area. Use the slingshot on the right this time, then be on the lookout for two more slingshots to hit, bringing you to that one chest, housing the Pirate Ship Key. You will notice an opening on the left as you swim to the very top, which is just a shortcut back to the main area of Pirate Shore. At the top, enter the door to appear inside of some sunken ship.

Your goal here is to just simply swing to the other side by using the rings and platforms given to you. There is a big save point below you, which fills your health, so you're not going to die. The slight problem is that there are ghosts flying about that will get in your way. They can, and probably will, knock you down into the water, which will push you all the way back to the beginning. After the second ring, you will want to time your next swing to a moving platform, then jump over the ghost while not falling in the water. Enter the door at the end to find the Pirate Flag.

Planting the Flag

Double back to the underwater section, then go through the shortcut mentioned in the previous paragraph to get back to the main area of Pirate Shore. Return to Percy with the flag and he'll mention putting it on top of the lighthouse, plus he'll also hand over the Pirate Doubloon. This little trinket will come in handy in a mere moment, so no explanation will be given here. Switch to lion form and dash across the waters to your left, breaking through the blocks at the end and exiting there. This room is filled with poison water (maxed out Prince Tunic will make sure you don't get poisoned), but the lion's dash will also be used here.

You might have come here earlier and saw something odd at the entrance, but you couldn't really do anything. The thing at the entrance is some kind of pirate soul or something, that when collected, refreshes the dash gauge while in lion form, which is thanks to the Doubloon. So, just dash to the left and you'll keep going thanks to the refills, but once you have the ceiling literally just above your head, there will be a spot where you need to double jump while still dashing to clear a piece of land with some blocks on it. After that, you'll be at the end and can exit to the lighthouse you might remember from earlier (that is magically rebuilt).

Picking up the soul will recharge your special meter.

Climb the ladder up to a ledge, where you should see another floating platform above you and some moss on the left. Although it can be a bit difficult to see, there is a lever on the cliffside to your right, which when hit, will make the platform above you start moving left and right. This also makes a dragonfly spawn, so get rid of it before climbing up the moss. Jump onto the moving platform, then crawl into the hole. Break the blocks and climb up the next moss, jumping onto the another moving platform. From here, you can change forms to get use of the double jump, but there is a spell chest in the upper right.

This requires the lightning spell, only 10 uses to be precise, which you should have by now if you're following this guide. Open the chest to obtain a Power Gem, then get to the top of the lighthouse to plant the Pirate Flag. You'll have to return to Percy at this point, but don't forget to activate the fast travel portal to your left before doing so. Get back on the right side of the lighthouse (there are slingshots on the left side, in case you fall down) and start the trek back to Percy. Note that at this point, it's possible to get a trophy/achievement with the lion form, so let's quickly go over that.

From the far left side of the poison cave, start sprinting to the right, trying to clear the blocks from before. As you run right, you'll refill your gauge and should be able to get the one at the right exit, too. Continue running as much as possible at this point, jumping over the cannonballs platform, until you're out of juice. If you didn't mess up at all, then you should get the trophy/achievement to pop up, inching you one step closer to all achievements/the platinum trophy.

Never Out Of Breath: Run a long distance without stopping in Lion form. / 15G

Return to Percy and speak with him, when a ghost appears. It turns out this is his former captain, Blacktusk, who scolds Percy to raising the flag, as this means the ghost ship that caused them to go under will return for their treasure. Of course, this is what happens, as the ghost ship docks and your next objective will be to go inside and take care of their captain.

Inside the Ghost Ship

Use the spring to the left of the save point to get on board the ghost ship. The ghosts on the deck are actually enemies that you can defeat normally, so strike them down with your weapon. There's nothing else on the deck, so head inside the door. You won't find a single secret or anything inside of the Ghost Ship, so your only priority will be to make it to the end and defeat the boss. The whole gimmick to the Ghost Ship is that it'll be rocking back and forth, with crates moving along with the sway of the ship. Another thing to watch out for are the red mines, like earlier, as well as bats on the ceiling (they can be hard to notice sometimes).

Despite being ghosts, the enemies above can be poisoned by the Killer Dagger (left). The bats on the ceiling can be hard to notice sometimes (right).

At the beginning, wait until the crate is out of the way, then descend the ladder. The ghost pirates here can be a little annoying, as they have quite a bit of health and can get their attacks out quite often. However, using a form with a shield, paired with the Killer Dagger's attack speed, will usually win out over them. At the end of this first hallway, wait for the mine to be on either side before performing a downward pound/strike to break the wooden boxes blocking your way.

Continue downward and to the right, where you'll have to wait for a metal box on the spikes to move to the left. Jump on it when it's there, then hit the switch at the end to open a trap door on the far left. Backtrack to the left, then drop down to a checkpoint. This area is less enemy-infested, other than some bats, and more focused on getting past moving crates. At the end, drop down another level and be prepared for a quick-moving crate this time. When you have the first opportunity to jump down, do so and quickly move to the left, catching the ladder at the end before being crushed.

There will now be water below you, as well as a floating wooden box. Jump on the box and wait for it to be on the right before hitting the lever. This will drain the water and the wooden box should now be on the bottom. Jump back up to the lever and once again, wait for the wooden box to be on the right side before striking the lever again to raise the water. This will allow you to jump to the exit in the top right corner, where another water/wooden box puzzle will await you after a brief encounter with one more ghost pirate. You're trapped in the small area with the lever, while the wooden box is below you.

It won't be all too challenging, but you'll have to guide the box to the button on the right using the sway of the ship and the water level. Once the button is pressed, the water will rise up, pushing the box up another level. At this point, assume your frog form to avoid drowning, as you will need to guide the button in the upper left. This is even easier than the previous one, so detailed steps aren't really needed. Jump up to the moving platform once you're done, then it's simply a bunch of ladders to one final enemy battle against two ghost pirates. Defeat them, then the skeleton that spawns afterwards, and launch yourself up to the door that will bring you to a rest area with a Nurse and Magic Shop, as well as the door to the boss.

BOSS - Davy Jones While a distraction, the mermen can drop health should you need it.

As a boss, Davy Jones is relatively simple, as he will just fly around, randomly throwing out projectiles at you. What makes this battle a little more hectic is the fact that mermen will continually spawn throughout it, meaning you'll constantly be on the move and have to strike down some of the lesser enemies. Thankfully, they will drop hearts, in case you need to top off your health. As you hit the boss, he will sometimes disappear and reappear at another spot, but that isn't anything special. That's pretty much the entire boss fight, so keep striking at Davy Jones until he is finished.

It seems Davy Jones dropped the staff he was using to summon minions, so pick it up and soon after, the ship will begin sinking. Captain Blacktusk appears at this moment and tells you how to use the staff to get out of this predictament. Hold down the Square/X (Xbox)/Y (Switch) button until a portal appears, which you will use to get back to Pirate Shore. Percy will hand over the Sanctuary Key, which opens the locked door in the Village of Lupia, plus he mentions that you can use the Teleport Rod as a quick way to move to any of the fast travel portals you've activated. Use it like before to head back to the Village of Lupia.

Reviews for "The Crystal Pineapple's Reign: Generations Bound by the Curse"

1. Alex - 1/5 - I was really disappointed with "The curse of the crystal pineapple." The plot was weak and predictable, the characters were uninteresting, and the humor fell flat. I found myself checking my watch, waiting for the movie to end. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this film based on the trailers, but it just didn't deliver.
2. Sarah - 2/5 - "The curse of the crystal pineapple" was a letdown for me. The special effects were impressive, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about this movie. The storyline was confusing and poorly executed, and the pacing was all over the place. I struggled to connect with any of the characters, and the humor felt forced. Overall, I found it to be a forgettable and underwhelming experience.
3. Nick - 2/5 - I had heard mixed reviews about "The curse of the crystal pineapple," but unfortunately, I fall into the group that didn't enjoy it. The plot was convoluted, and it felt like the filmmakers were trying too hard to cram in too many ideas. The dialogue was cliché, and the acting was mediocre at best. I kept waiting for something exciting or engaging to happen, but it never came. Overall, I found it to be a messy and uninspiring film.
4. Emily - 1/5 - I found "The curse of the crystal pineapple" to be incredibly boring and unoriginal. The plot was predictable, and the characters were one-dimensional. I couldn't connect with any of them, and I found myself losing interest halfway through the film. The supposed twists and turns felt forced and lacked substance. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this one.
