"The Bastard Conquers the Magic Academy was a complete disappointment. The plot was predictable and lacked any originality. The characters felt flat and one-dimensional, making it impossible to connect or care about any of them. To make matters worse, the writing style was dull and lacked any sort of creativity. Overall, I found this book to be a waste of time and would not recommend it to anyone looking for an engaging and well-written fantasy novel."

"I had high hopes for The Bastard Conquers the Magic Academy, but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. The pacing was incredibly slow, with unnecessary and irrelevant side plots that added nothing to the overall story. The main character was unlikeable and had no redeeming qualities, making it difficult to root for him. Additionally, the world-building was poorly executed and lacked depth, leaving me feeling disconnected from the setting. While the concept had potential, the execution was lacking, and I found myself struggling to finish this book."
      3. Emily - 2.5 stars

The writing was mediocre and lacked polish, with numerous grammatical errors and inconsistencies that were distracting. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult to believe or invest in the interactions between characters. Although there were a few interesting moments, they were overshadowed by a slow-moving plot and underdeveloped secondary characters. I was ultimately left unsatisfied and would not recommend this book to others looking for a captivating fantasy read."
