So we have given up trying to educate on this point, as every audio engineer has eventually done over the last half century, as the usual audiophile has an emotional need which cannot be reached by logic, reasoning and science. In most cases when attempting to use the DacMagic 200M with a mobile device, and an Apple Camera Adapter, the user will receive the following alert Cannot Use Accessory.

Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M - review/comparison?

Hi, just wondering if anyone can let me know from specs if this is likely to be better than something like the SMSL M400?

I'm sure someone here will review this unit properly when it's release, but I've got my custom Purifi 5chan amp from Apollon turning up in a week and I want to decide on DAC to pair with it, and this is cheaper than the M400 I already have upstairs!

You might want to specify what features you need with a DAC, as there are $100 units that are easily considered to be noise and distortion free within the range of human hearing.

Sorry. I can't help with that. I ignore MQA as a feature for these reasons

I don't care about what you think about MQA, that isn't why I created the thread.

Cambridge doesn't use measurements, which is a huge strike against them. But in terms of streaming functionality, I find their streamer/DACs excellent - full Roon integration, Chromecast support, airplay support, seamless switching between them. Really top notch.

I was going to connect an Intel NUC to this/M400 via USB, NUC has Roon bridge on it.

If this 200M has Roon bridge software on it then no brainer for me, didn't think that was the case though?

I don't think will have any software in it. I t is only a DAC, an improvement over the respectable DacMagic Plus.
They changed the DAC chip inside from Wolfson 8740 to ESS 9028Q2M
Maybe we'll see some measurements sometimes.

Don't be an ass. I was trying to help by asking you what features you needed, and then offering the reason why I couldn't help with that feature. And I don't know what you know about MQA. A lot of people don't know about why they might not want to care about it.

How about if you don't like the free advice you are getting, you either (a) ignore it or (b) hire a consultant who is paid to deal with your attitude?

no, I think the Cxn is the least expensive one with the streaming software.

What do you base that on? The few of their products Amir has reviewed have shown to meet or exceed their listed specs.

Fair - they have published Frequency response, S/N, crosstalk. I don't think I've seen the Cambridge reviews here. I've been a bit turned off by the opacity on what sort of DAC is running in the Edge NQ, and that they claim to have "tuned" the whole Edge line by ear. I own one (NQ) btw. They offered it to me at a decent discount with a service return of my prior Cambridge DAC,back when it first came out.

The only thing I could get out of them - via direct email contact - was "we can confirm it is a NOS DAC".

It's nice DAC with great streaming and balanced outputs. Probably not worth a dime more than the CXN tho.

Surf curse concert setlist

Surf Curse also likes to surprise the audience with a few songs that are not as well-known. This keeps their setlist fresh and introduces fans to lesser-known tracks like "Doom Generation" or "Fire Walk with Me." One of the highlights of a Surf Curse concert is their performance of "Christine F." This song is a fan favorite and often gets the crowd singing along. The duo's vocals harmonize perfectly on this track, creating a memorable moment for everyone in the audience. Towards the end of the set, Surf Curse delivers high-energy performances of their more upbeat songs, such as "In My Headache" or "Buds." These songs get the crowd dancing and jumping, leaving everyone feeling exhilarated. For the encore, Surf Curse will typically perform one or two songs. They often save their most popular track, "Les Cactus," for the very end. This song always receives an enthusiastic response from the crowd, with everyone singing and dancing along. In conclusion, Surf Curse's concert setlist is carefully curated to provide a mix of their popular hits and lesser-known tracks. Their energetic performances and catchy music make for an unforgettable live experience..

Reviews for "Why Surf Curse's Concert Setlist is a Masterpiece"

1. Samantha - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with the Surf Curse concert setlist. As a long-time fan, I was excited to hear their popular hits, but they only played a few of them. Instead, they focused on showcasing their new experimental tracks, which did not resonate with me. The energy of the audience was also noticeably lower due to the unfamiliarity of the songs. I understand that artists want to explore new sounds, but when attending a concert, I expect to hear the songs that made me fall in love with the band in the first place.
2. David - 1/5 - The Surf Curse concert setlist was a letdown. They played a lot of their newer, lesser-known songs, and it felt like the crowd was bored throughout the show. I was hoping to hear their popular tracks that I love and sing along to, but they only played them as an encore at the very end. By that point, many people had already left. It seemed like they were more interested in pushing their new material rather than catering to the fans who have supported them for years.
3. Emily - 2.5/5 - I have mixed feelings about the Surf Curse concert setlist. On one hand, I appreciate their desire to incorporate new music and experiment with their sound. However, it was frustrating that they neglected some of their well-known songs that many fans were eagerly waiting to hear. The concert lacked the energy and excitement that typically accompanies their live performances, which may have been due to the unfamiliarity of the newer tracks. I admire their artistic growth, but I believe they should strike a better balance between playing their new material and honoring their fanbase's expectations.
