Exploring the Unique Sounds of the Roland Synthesizer: Unleash the Quirky Magic

By admin

Roland is a quirky magician who has gained popularity for his unique brand of magic tricks. Unlike traditional magicians who rely on elaborate props and grand gestures, Roland's magic is all about simplicity and everyday objects. People are often surprised by Roland's unorthodox approach, but they quickly become captivated by his ability to make the ordinary seem extraordinary. One of his most famous tricks involves turning a simple deck of cards into a myriad of different objects, much to the amazement of his audience. What sets Roland apart from other magicians is his ability to connect with his audience on a personal level. He recognizes that magic is not just about tricks and illusions, but about creating a sense of wonder and awe.

Of course, there’s also my contrasting head canon that Roland could easily be a sociopath, charming and shallow and zero empathy and obsessive and not caring who he hurts in the pursuit of his goals…

He had so much potential, could have truly been a dashing hero in every sense of the word, but he let greed and ambition and toxic masculinity get to him. But then he saw her actual potential to be better than him, he shut that down and patronized her attempts so she d never be tempted to pick up a sword again.

Do you have any headcanons for Roland? Any other headcanons for Strange Magic (in general) after the end of the movie?

answered:

Hmmm, headcanons for Roland…I’ve come to realize I often imagine his parents being out of the picture, that he was raised by his grandmother or an aunt, who spilled him rotten and let him grow up without facing the consequences of his actions.

I think he was always a very good looking child who truly did dream of being a dashing hero, only that got twisted and corrupted. He no longer wanted to be a hero because it was the right thing to be, but because heroes got glory and power.

I don’t think he’s ever truly been in love with anyone at all. He likes the idea of having someone beautiful on his arm, but his happy ending is him with power and nothing and no one to take that away from him.

He’s an honestly good fighter, though he pales in comparison to Marianne and Bog. I imagine that when he was courting her, Marianne eagerly wanted to learn how to fight from him, and Roland agreed, thinking it would be harmless, that a Princess fighting was just too ludicrous. But then he saw her actual potential to be better than him, he shut that down and patronized her attempts so she’d never be tempted to pick up a sword again.

Now that I think about it, going off the idea that Roland could have been a good person if he had been raised correctly. He had so much potential, could have truly been a dashing hero in every sense of the word, but he let greed and ambition and toxic masculinity get to him.

Of course, there’s also my contrasting head canon that Roland could easily be a sociopath, charming and shallow and zero empathy and obsessive and not caring who he hurts in the pursuit of his goals…

As for my head canons for what happens after the movie, read my Strange Hearts & Wild Things timeline! All the fanfics in that timeline are what I imagine to happen after the movie ends =)
