Brendan and Madison Jean (MJ) enjoyed changing tradition around to create a day that was wonderfully them. They aimed to create a warm, cozy feeling of a family dinner to gather and celebrate. They perfectly mastered this with their winter wedding at the end of January. Peirce Farm at Witch Hill was lightly blanketed with snow with and horse and a mule wandering the fields. They had their own part to play in the wedding when they were brought up for a few photos. MJ volunteers at an equine therapy program for children and adults with disabilities so to be able to incorporate horses into the photos was a real treat!

They began getting ready in the mansion, with so many beautiful and unique details in the rooms. MJ picked the library to put on her gorgeous gown with her mom. She had green velvet shoes by Sézane, a sustainably minded store in Paris. Meanwhile, Brendan got ready in a nearby room, carefully donning his handwoven tweed suit made in Donegal, Ireland. It was the impeccable and unique details that made this wedding truly stand out. They had their first look outside by the barn and the rest was all laughs and fun.

At the ceremony, they each read their own heartfelt vows. Even though they hadn’t shown them to each other, their vows were remarkably similar. Another sign these two were meant to be. With a kiss they were wed and then it was off to the wonderfully catered dinner prepared by Chive Events. Everything was family style, which continued the feeling of the cozy, family atmosphere. Finally after the dancing concluded, they were ushered through a candlelit sendoff into Brendan’s British cab/PT cruiser “getaway car”. Such a memorable day with two beautiful people with a heart of gold.

Reviews for "What to expect at a Peirce farm at Witch Hill wedding"

1. Samantha - 2 stars
I attended a wedding at Peirce Farm at Witch Hill and I was extremely disappointed with the whole experience. The first issue was with the venue itself. The outdoor ceremony area was poorly maintained and there were weeds growing all over the place. The reception hall was also in need of some serious renovation, with chipped paint and outdated decor.
The service was also subpar. The staff seemed disorganized and overwhelmed, and the wait time for food and drinks was unacceptable. The food itself was mediocre at best, with bland flavors and chewy meat.
Overall, I would not recommend Peirce Farm at Witch Hill as a wedding venue. The lack of maintenance, dated decor, and poor service made for a disappointing experience.
2. John - 1 star
My experience at Peirce Farm at Witch Hill was nothing short of a nightmare. First of all, the communication with the staff prior to the wedding was incredibly frustrating. It took multiple attempts to get a response to my inquiries, and when I finally did, the answers were vague and unhelpful.
On the day of the wedding, the issues continued. The ceremony was scheduled to be held outdoors, but due to a complete lack of communication, it was moved indoors at the last minute without any explanation. The reception hall was cramped and uncomfortable, with insufficient seating for all the guests. The temperature inside was also unbearably hot, making it difficult to enjoy the evening.
To top it all off, the food was of low quality and poorly prepared. The lack of attention to detail and overall lackluster experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I would strongly advise against choosing Peirce Farm at Witch Hill for any special occasion.
3. Emily - 2 stars
While Peirce Farm at Witch Hill may have a picturesque location, my experience attending a wedding there was far from enjoyable. The venue itself was cramped and poorly laid-out, making it difficult to move around and interact with other guests. The seating arrangements were also poorly organized, with some guests being squeezed into tight corners while others had plenty of room.
The service at the wedding was also extremely disappointing. The staff seemed untrained and unsure of what they were doing. It took an absurdly long time for food and drinks to be served, and when they did arrive, they were underwhelming. The food lacked flavor and was cold by the time it reached our table.
Overall, I was not impressed with Peirce Farm at Witch Hill as a wedding venue. The lack of space, disorganized seating, and poor service made for a less than enjoyable experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a more memorable and well-executed event.
