Unlike other horror films where characters may be one-dimensional and simply there to be killed off, Curse of Chucky takes the time to develop its characters and give them depth. The protagonist, Nica Pierce, is a wheelchair-bound woman who becomes the target of Chucky's murderous rampage. Throughout the film, we learn more about her backstory and witness her growth as she fights to survive. Additionally, the film explores the theme of isolation and vulnerability. Nica is confined to her wheelchair and stuck in a remote house with no means of escape. This adds a layer of helplessness to her predicament and makes her struggle all the more intense. Overall, Curse of Chucky is a well-crafted horror film that brings the Child's Play series back to its roots. It effectively builds tension, develops its characters, and explores themes of isolation and vulnerability. Fans of the series will appreciate the return to form, while newcomers will find plenty of scares to enjoy..
