I think I realized that about page 8, because after the lovely Introduction begins the in-character treatises on the nature of magic in the Pathfinder universe. I had so much fun reading it and, though by default it s for Golarion, it adds so much to any setting because at the era in which most FRPs are set, magic should have been studied.

1. John Smith - 2/5 stars - I was really excited to read "Pathfinder: Secrets of Magic" as a long-time fan of the series, but I was left disappointed. The plot was convoluted and confusing, with too many characters and storylines that didn't mesh well together. The writing style was also lacking, with dull descriptions and boring dialogue. Overall, I felt like this book was a step backward for the series and didn't live up to the high standards set by its predecessors.
2. Sarah Johnson - 1/5 stars - As an avid reader of fantasy novels, I was extremely disappointed with "Pathfinder: Secrets of Magic." The world-building was shallow and lacked depth, making it difficult to fully immerse oneself in the story. Additionally, the characters felt one-dimensional and lacked any real development throughout the book. The pacing was also way off, with unnecessarily long chapters that dragged on without any real purpose. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a well-crafted fantasy adventure.
