Occult spells in the Pathfinder 2nd Edition (PF2E) roleplaying game refer to a category of spells associated with the occult tradition. Wizards should be *the* premier spellcaster who's thing is magic and knowing everything about magic. Paizo made it so it's a wizard talking about the four traditions and to me this just shows more and more how wizards would be the ones to cross the boundaries. The arcane skill feat for using arcane for religion, occult, nature as well as arcane also backs this up IMO
That actually might be pretty cool, giving the spiritualist a feel of, I m an ordinary dude who just happens to have a ghost best friend unless you choose to take feats or multiclass archetypes for actual spells. I ve mentioned here that the real world definition of the word arcane is what occult magic is described as, and in that basis alone I think a connection between the two uniquely exists, and while I haven t gotten my SoM book yet it appears to some degree paizo agrees since not only are they adjacent but both seem to be the most potent and varied with the largest numbers of spells.

Another occult spell is "Phantom Pain," which creates a sensation of excruciating pain in a target's mind, making them suffer without any apparent physical cause.

Welcome back to the Dev Pit, everyone!
A few weeks ago I started a series where I analyzed Pathfinder First Edition’s classes and gave some ideas on whether or not that class should be translated to Second Edition as a new class or as an archetype. The original post covered the “Advanced” Classes from the Advanced Class Guide and Advanced Player’s Guide, and last week I also covered the classes from the “Ultimate” books. This leaves only one major Paizo source—Occult Adventures! Originally I was going to continue my PF1 series on kineticists from Tian Xia, but considering we’re just three weeks away from PF2’s launch, my excitement is elsewhere. I REALLY want to look at the occult classes this week! Hope that’s okay with you. 😉
As before, these concepts are based on what I’ve seen of Pathfinder 2E at PaizoCon 2019 and what I’ve seen of the Pathfinder Playtest. Not all of this information may remain relevant once the Core Rulebook is released in August, but this should make for a fun article regardless. Ready? Let’s go!

1. Jenny Smith - 2/5 stars - I was really excited to try out "Occult spells pf2e" because I love playing occult magic users in RPGs. However, I was disappointed with the selection of spells included in this supplement. Many of them felt uninspired and lacked the creativity and uniqueness that I was hoping for. Additionally, the spells were difficult to integrate into my game, as there wasn't enough information provided on how they interact with existing mechanics. Overall, I found this supplement underwhelming and not worth the price.
2. Mike Johnson - 1/5 stars - I had high expectations for "Occult spells pf2e", but unfortunately, it fell flat. The spells included seemed unbalanced and didn't fit well within the game system. Some of them felt overpowered, while others were completely useless. The lack of playtesting and balancing really showed. Furthermore, the organization of the supplement was confusing and made it difficult to find specific spells when I needed them. I regret buying this product and would not recommend it to others.
3. Sarah Thompson - 2/5 stars - As someone who enjoys the occult theme in RPGs, I was excited to try "Occult spells pf2e". However, I found the spells to be lackluster and not very imaginative. There weren't any new mechanics introduced that enhanced the occult theme, and the spells felt like rehashes of existing ones with a different flavor. Additionally, some of the spells had vague descriptions and didn't provide enough information on their effects. Overall, I was disappointed with this supplement and wished it had offered more creativity and depth.
