I was really disappointed with the concept of non-traditional magic in media. I feel like it takes away the essence of what magic is all about. I understand that creators want to bring something new and unique to the table, but there is a reason why traditional magic has been so popular throughout history. It has a sense of mysticism and wonder that non-traditional magic just can't replicate. I found it hard to connect with the characters and their abilities, as they felt too detached from the magic we're used to seeing. Overall, it just didn't work for me.

It often ends up being inconsistent and confusing, and I found myself rolling my eyes at the absurdity of some of the abilities.
