A substitute voice actress has been announced for the character of Nika Nanaura in the on-going Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury TV anime. Starting from Episode 10, the Earth House-affiliated mechanical department student will be voiced by Haruka Shiraishi instead of Yume Miyamoto.
The voice actress change is due to Miyamoto’s health. Earlier this month, it was announced that the 25-year-old had been in poor health since the end of October and would prioritize receiving treatment. It was also mentioned that Miyamoto would take a temporary break and have restrictions on her activities for the time being.
