Tastemaker label etcetc is celebrating a huge year with the next instalment of their Yearbook series, including a new remix of a Luke Million favourite.
Whether you like it or not, 2017 is just about over. Complete with everyone exclaiming that this year has "absolutely flown by" (like every year), some folks are opting to look back and revel in their successes rather than scratching their heads wondering where the time has gone. One such crew is etcetc, who have had a banner year in 2017. With their roster consisting of PACES, KILTER, AIRWOLF, LUKE MILLION and, of course, the mighty PNAU plus more all kicking goal after goal, it makes sense that they finish up this year in true style - with their annual yearbook to celebrate the year that was.

What was an absolute jam (who could expect anything else from Luke Million) with an utterly addictive groove has now been turned into a sunny tune with a lot of funk heaped on for good measure. Coming at the absolute perfect time before summer really kicks into gear, Bananas has worked his magic over Million's original to make something that stands on it's own as the perfect pairing with the original. Honestly, when it comes to summer jams, two is always better than one. Bananas said of the remix, "The original version of 'Alive' already has a great groove, but I decided to slow it down and funk it out to make a remix that's a bit more sunny and breezy. I'm excited for this one to drop, I've been having a great response when I play it out!"
A gift that truly keeps on giving, etcetc's 2017 Yearbook is out tomorrow everywhere, with some unreleased gems mixed in with some of the label's best releases. If this year is anything at all to go by, things are only going to get bigger and better for one of Australia's premier tastemaker labels, so keep your eyes peeled for their next big moves!
