Do you believe in magic? Mia does. She understands that real magic comes from deep within a person. How is that possible? Well, she sees a new girl sitting all alone in the cafeteria and makes the effort to be friendly. Both Mia and the new girl feel sparkly with joy. The others sitting at Mia’s lunch table also feel the sparkly joy and they pass it on. When Mia is having trouble with math, a boy offers to help and they both feel sparkly with joy. And the new girl helps an elderly lady by holding the door for her. The magic pays it forward and everyone is feeling sparkly with joy. Yes, there is real magic and it comes from deep inside each of us.

Julie Cassetta’s picture book story, Magical Mia: Kindness is Contagious, is told in rhyming verse. With its eloquent lyricism, young readers will be singing along and perhaps adding their own suggestions of how to spread the magic. The plot develops with Mia’s sparkle about her magic secret, which is then shared in multiple ways and, in the end, everyone is helping someone else and spreading the magic of caring. The illustrations are beautiful and almost magical in themselves and certainly help carry the story along. This is a great way to introduce the notion of paying kindness forward – it really does have a charming magic all of its own. And, to top off the story, the author provides a list at the end of the book suggesting ways young readers can share the magic by being kind, caring, and helpful. Beautifully told.

Magical mia

Her kind and gentle spirit, combined with her incredible powers, made her beloved among the villagers. However, Mia's powers did not come without a price. The more she used her magic, the more drained and weak she would become. To replenish her energy, Mia would often venture deep into the heart of the mystical forest. There, she would connect with the spirits of nature and draw energy from the earth itself. One day, a dark and powerful sorcerer heard tales of Mia's extraordinary powers. Consumed by jealousy and greed, the sorcerer decided to capture Mia and steal her magic for himself. With his dark forces, he created a powerful spell that would trap Mia in a never-ending sleep, preventing her from ever using her magic again. Word of the sorcerer's plan reached Mia, who knew she had to fight back and protect herself and her village. With the help of her loyal animal companions - a wise owl named Sage, a mischievous squirrel named Nutmeg, and a loyal fox named Finnegan - Mia gathered her strength and devised a plan to defeat the sorcerer. Using her powers, Mia created a powerful shield around herself, protecting her from the sorcerer's dark spells. With each attempt to capture her, the sorcerer grew weaker, while Mia grew stronger. Eventually, she was able to break free from his grasp and banish him from the village forever. Thanks to Mia's bravery and determination, the village was once again safe from harm. Her magical abilities continued to bring joy and wonder to all who encountered her. Mia became a symbol of hope and resilience, proving that even in the face of darkness, light will prevail. And so, Magical Mia's legend spread far and wide, becoming a timeless tale of courage, magic, and the power of believing in oneself..

Reviews for "Examining the Symbolism in Magical Mia: A Deeper Look into the Story"

- John Smith - 1/5 stars - I really did not enjoy reading "Magical Mia". The story felt disjointed and the characters were uninteresting. The plot lacked depth and the magic elements were not well developed. Overall, it was a disappointing read and I would not recommend it to others.
- Emily Jones - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for "Magical Mia" but unfortunately, it fell flat. The writing style was subpar and the dialogue felt forced. The protagonist, Mia, was not relatable and her actions seemed inconsistent throughout the book. The pacing was also off, making it a struggle to stay engaged. I was left feeling unsatisfied with the story and would not read another book by this author.
- Sarah Thompson - 2/5 stars - I found "Magical Mia" to be quite underwhelming. The plot was predictable and lacked originality. The characters were one-dimensional and their relationships lacked depth. The world-building was minimal, leaving me feeling like I was missing crucial information. Overall, it was a forgettable read and I would not recommend it to others looking for a captivating fantasy book.
