Gold Magic Spiral Wheel

Are these worth the dollars? And do they move material quicker than panning? My thoughts were that this may be easier on you, physically, than a day panning?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Apparently these are self-classifying as well - taking material up to 2".

Mate anything is easier than a day panning, probably a good unit if there is no water flow. An AM sluice would process more though I reckonif you have flow, I have no experience with a goldwheel though so just guessing.

Yes they do work but the secret of how to use them is to have the material classified to same size, that you need to use a fine sieve and check that you are not throwing way any larger pieces when you sieve, and put the finer material through the wheel.
They are much faster than panning.

Hope this helps.

I have used one for a few years now, to process the concentrate from a small dryblower.
Works ok but to make sure I don't lose any gold i put it through the machine at least 2 times.

yes i have seen one of these in action and they do work great but depending on the size of your gold you may have to keep cyclelateing it around so you get less of the dirt and more of the fine gold

Anyone got one there not using they would like to sell?

yes i did also, Ive never seen those little blocks on the middle of the riffle used before, as a gold wheel user I knew strait away what they were for, they re- concentrate "high flow" water to the areas where dirt usually blocks up and requires physical intervention. marvelous idea!

The only gold wheel you should NEVER buy is the Keene one, you cannot adjust angle and the water flow is insufficient! I like Keene but i hate the spiral wheel they made.

I noticed on their website they say it can be used wet or dry , what do you think of gold wheels Mr Boring ' you said you use them

lol. yeah spiral wheel makers have always said that about dry capabilities, but it does not work in practice that i have found. I tried it once and. yeah, Didn't work. a dryblower is the only thing i've seen that works in dry conditions..I could be wrong

one thing is important with using spiral wheels for concentrate recovery. Use plenty of soap or detergent to keep the hardness of the water low. Gold floats!! don't learn the hard way like me!! A little dab of mercury every 5 minuttes helps those bits go up that are caught in the wheel

Thanks Mr Boring , though that little Gold Magic Wheel might be able to handle small amounts of dry concentrate .

I know that to make a unit that can move dirt quickly dry with great efficiency is a challenge

Gold Spiral Wheel Concentrators provide Excellent Fine Gold Recovery from Black Sand concentrates

Spiral Wheel Gold Concentrators make panning automatic - they can recover all sizes of gold -- from micron and flour gold to coarse nuggets.

Some models like the Gold Magic can even work Wet AND Dry.

Browse our collection of spiral gold wheels and automatic gold panning cleanup tools below. Including: the famous BLUE BOWL CONCENTRATOR, and Gold Miner Spiral Wheel

Why Use a Gold Spiral Wheel? Gold Mining Equipment Shows always have the spiral wheel concentrators featured up front and on display. How often have you watched with amazement as the heavy black sand laden gold concentrates are dumped into the wheel and just seconds later the gold travels up the spirals and drops neatly into the center cup or pan?

For those of you that dredge, sluice, use a highbanker or just process a lot of black sand, the choices for concentrate clean-up are limited to hand panning, using a micro-sluice, a centrifugal style blue bowl, or a spiral concentrating wheel.

SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW OUR SPIRAL WHEEL CONCENTRATORS

After hand panning you will always end up with black sand still in the gold. The micro-sluices and small blue bowls work well but are very slow and you will probably still end up with black sand in your gold. But with a good spiral wheel concentrator properly set up you can process 50 to 150 lbs. of black sand concentrates an hour with very little effort and have clean gold ready to display or sell.

So, if you mine for gold and do not want to sit around for backbreaking hours panning and then picking out the black sand by hand you need to consider an automatic spiral wheel gold concentrator.

To successfully get clean gold from a spiral wheel two things are necessary, a well designed, high quality wheel, and the knowledge to operate it properly.

We have been asked many times if black sand concentrator wheels are effective. My answer is always, "it is an excellent wheel but is limited by the skill of the operator." If you do not understand the principles of gravity separation, the importance of classification, and the proper operation of the wheel, your results will probably be disappointing. Take the time to practice and experiment.

FINE GOLD SEPARATION TIP: The importance of classifying your material: Black sand concentrates are a combination of heavy minerals usually with magnetic iron being the main mineral. These dense minerals have a specific gravity in the 5 to 6 range. Gold has a specific gravity of 15 to 19.3 depending on its purity. The black sands will weigh 1/4 to 1/3 as much as the gold. A cubic foot of black sand will weigh about 225 lbs. Or 26.7 lbs. per gallon. These heavy black sands present the major problem in fine gold recovery for recreational gold miners.

Gold, with a specific gravity of 15 to 19.3, and black sands at 5 to 6, when properly screened down to approximately the same size, will allow the gold to be easily separated using a good spiral wheel concentrator. Without proper screening (classification with a sieve), particles many times the size of the gold will climb the spirals and disturb the concentrating action of the water and gravity. As the gold climbs up the spirals this disturbance can cause small grains of black sand, along with the large pieces, to follow the gold up to the center tube and be deposited in the pan. The best rule of thumb to follow is: "The finer the gold, the finer you want to screen your concentrates." Run the material in several different batches of finer and finer material. With proper screening and wheel operation it is possible to recover microscopic (micron) gold down to almost 500 mesh with a high quality gold spiral wheel.

Gold Magic 12-10 Spiral Gold Panning Kit Wheel Prospecting Recovery 12V Electric

Spiral Gold Recovery System Includes: built-in 12-volt battery, built-in 110 volt charger. Works in manual or battery mode, and takes less than a minute to set up. Can process 140 lbs of material every 60 minutes. No need to screen the material first this machine will do the screening for you. Takes material up to 2 inches. Works wet or dry. In dry operation, you will highly concentrate the material. It will take 140 lbs of material down to approximately 2 cups of concentrates in 60 minutes. Wet it will work the material down to clean good. Shipping weight 16 pounds.

The Gold Magic Spiral Gold Recovery System will allow you to work more material faster and recover more gold than ever before! This machine will work dry to highly concentrate material, and it will work wet in a tub to separate black sand and gold. And it can work right down in a stream to process material so you take home clean gold.

A comprehensive Owners Manual (with tips on how and where to find gold), a warranty card covering 1 year manufacturer's warranty is shipped with every Gold Magic so you will be set up and ready to run wet or dry in minutes!

  • Recovers all sizes of gold -- from flour gold to nuggets!
  • Prospect Dry
  • Prospect Wet
  • Fine Gold Recovery from Black Sand
  • Includes 12-volt battery
  • No pump is needed
  • Built-in Charger
  • Lightweight and portable - weighs just 10 lbs. with battery
  • 17 inch diameter spiral pan with 69 agitation knobs
  • Can process approx. 140 lbs (two 5-gallon buckets) of material per hour

All components are designed for rugged outdoor use. The frame is made of marine-grade aluminum. The fasteners and pan shaft are made of marine-grade stainless steel. No lubrication of any part is needed. Only oil impregnated bronze bushings are used— not ball bearings because they can seize up if black sand gets into them.

The motor has a permanently lubricated, sealed gear case. The Gold Magic has a built in 110 volt AC/12volt DC charger inside the control box. Your battery should be fully charged when you receive it. The charger will recharge the battery in about 10 hours. There is a built-in control to prevent overcharge.

The patented removable gold concentration cup allows you to pour your gold directly from the pan into your vial.

How it Works

How your Gold Magic Works

The 17-inch Gold Magic® pan is computer designed for maximum gold recovery. As the wheel turns and you deposit material into the wheel, some of that material will immediately move up the wheel into the concentration cup. As gold and other more dense material arrives at the concentration cup, it replaces less dense material in the cup so that the center cup is continually filling with the most dense material in the pan. This process starts as soon as you introduce material into the pan and is complete within a matter of minutes. There are 69 agitator knobs, (1B), in the primary processing area of the Gold Magic pan. These agitator knobs move through the material in rapid succession causing it to mix and tumble, all designed to quickly get the gold into area (1-C). The larger, low density materials will be expelled from the pan while the heavier, smaller materials (black sand, gold, platinum, and gemstones) will be carried up the spiral riffle into the removable concentration cup.

( Area 1)

This is the primary classification area - all materials, sand, gravel, etc. (wet or dry) is shoveled into this area. Large size and most low specific gravity materials roll out of the pan as it rotates. Heavy weight materials (gold) sink to the lowest point at the joining of riffle and the pan (1-C) and commence rotating toward areas (2,3,4).

( Area 2)

This is the riffle transition and large nugget recovery area. Nuggets too large to spiral up the riffle in area (3) into concentrate cup (4) will remain in area (2) until visually sighted and removed.

( Area 3)

This is the secondary classification area. The heavy material, (high specific gravity) like gold, platinum, flour gold and black sand, will continue to travel at the low point where the riffle joins the pan (1-C), to area (4). Most light (low specific gravity) material falls from the riffle in area (3) and it’s ultimately ejected from the pan.

( Area 4)

Final classification area. Here you immediately see the results. The gold settles in the removable cup (4). As it continues to tumble wet, it is "cleaned up" with a gentle splash of water and is ready for removal. Dry gold concentrate is removed from here for final wet cleanup.

Reviews for "The Wizardry of Magical Java Capsules: Merging Technology and Tradition"

1. John Doe - 1 star
I tried the magical java capsules and was extremely disappointed. The taste was nothing like coffee and had a weird chemical aftertaste. Not only that, but I didn't feel any energy boost or increase in focus like the product claimed. Overall, I found the product to be a waste of money and would not recommend it to anyone.
2. Jane Smith - 2 stars
I had high hopes for the magical java capsules, but they fell short of my expectations. The capsules were difficult to dissolve in water and often left clumps at the bottom of my cup. Additionally, the coffee flavor was very weak and lacked the boldness I look for in my morning cup of joe. I did notice a slight increase in energy, but it was not significant enough to justify the poor taste and texture. I will not be purchasing these capsules again.
3. Tom Thompson - 1 star
I was excited to try the magical java capsules as a convenient alternative to brewing a pot of coffee. Unfortunately, the capsules did not live up to the hype. The taste was incredibly bitter and had a burnt flavor that was off-putting. Furthermore, the capsules did not dissolve properly, leaving a gritty residue in my drink. I did not experience any noticeable increase in energy or alertness. Overall, I was highly disappointed with this product and will be sticking to traditional coffee brewing methods.
