Magic Moments Tours was established in 2009. Axel Gruber, owner of the company, is active in the tourism industry since 1995 and well-known for his tours through Namibia and Southern Africa.
Axel was born in Namibia with German and Austrian roots. On completion of his schooling he moved from his hometown Swakopmund to Windhoek to become a motor mechanic. His love for the ocean and nature soon drew him back to Swakopmund where he started off his career in the tourism industry in 1995.
After 20 years of guiding in Namibia and southern Africa, Axel knows every corner of Namibia. He is also a specialized desert guide and loves nothing more than to accompany his guests on great adventures into the remote parts of Namibia. He speaks English, German and Afrikaans fluently.
At the age of 14 Axel became a passionate surfer and during the last ten years also found another passion in paragliding.
Axel accompanies his guests with an extensive knowledge on Namibia’s fauna and flora, his love and respect for nature and his witty and enthusiastic attitude.

Didi Rust
Tour GuideDidi Rust was born in 1977 in Omaruru and grew up on the parental farm in the Erongo Mountains. After his schooling in Swakopmund and Windhoek he left to explore other parts of the world. He lived and worked in South Africa, England and Scotland and travelled as much as he could.
In 2006 Didi came back to his home country and became a professional tour guide. Since then Didi has enjoyed showing guests the unspoilt nature, magnificent landscapes, fauna and flora, ethnic diversity and way of life of his home country.
He is a keen rock climber and mountain bike cyclists and enjoys all things outdoors. If Didi is not on tour, he spends his time on his farm in the Erongo Mountains.
