Magic Carpet was a miniature golf course and arcade complex located near Speedway and Wilmot in Tucson, AZ. It opened in 1970 and sadly closed in 2008. It had a lot of the same statues as Goofy Golf in Panama City Beach, FL, including the monkey, the dinosaur, the Easter Island head, and the Sphinx, as well as some giant flowers. The statues were designed by Goofy Golf’s Lee Koplin and built by Michael Kautza and his brother, Andy. There are some great photos of what the course once was over at roadarch.com

In 2011, Magic Carpet was bulldozed, however, to our delight we learned that some of its statues were preserved and moved to locations across Tucson.
