A Classic Toy Reinvented: Lite Brite Magic Screen Complete Set

By admin

The Lite Brite Magic Screen Complete Set is a popular toy that consists of 326 colorful pegs that can be inserted into a plastic board to create various designs and pictures. This set provides endless hours of creative fun for children and adults alike. The main idea is that the Lite Brite Magic Screen Complete Set is a versatile and entertaining toy that allows users to create their own unique designs and patterns..

This simulation takes the “Lite-Brite” concept a bit farther, allowing you to add counters to each of the colored LEDs, making it possible to create a variety of “blinking” and “color-cycling” animations, like this Animated Christmas Tree.

A piece of black paper containing a pre-printed pattern would be sandwiched between the panels, and then your job was to insert any of the blue, green, violet, red, orange, pink, yellow, or white colored pegs into the appropriately marked holes. The original Lite-Brite design used a pair of matching black panels punctured with a series of evenly spaced holes arranged in a grid of 39 rows, which alternated between 44 and 45 holes per row, resulting in a hexagonal honeycomb layout containing 1735 holes.

The Lite-Brite concept was invented by Joseph M. Burck at Marvin Glass & Associates and first marketed as a toy in 1967 by Hasbro. See our “50th Anniversary of Lite-Brite” blog post for more on the history of Lite-Brite.

In addition, any of the Original Lite-Brite Images can be turned on underneath the grid, to help you recreate them with LEDs. However, it’s difficult to find decent high-quality images of those original 1967 patterns, and tricky to get them to line up properly, so a little “artistic interpretation” is required.

Eventually, we’d also like to add recreations of the original black-and-white patterns, using the original Lite-Brite color codes (B, G, V, R, O, P, Y, and W).

Reviews for "Spark Your Child's Imagination with Lite Brite Magic Screen Complete Set"

- John Doe - 1 star - This Lite Brite set is a complete waste of money. The pieces are flimsy and don't stay in place. The pegs constantly fall out, making it impossible to create any designs. The screen is also very dim, making it difficult to see what you're doing. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
- Jane Smith - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with this Lite Brite set. The pieces are supposed to light up, but they hardly do. The screen is also very small, which makes it hard to create detailed designs. The quality of the pegs and paper templates is also very poor. Overall, I feel like I wasted my money on this toy.
- Mike Johnson - 2 stars - The Lite Brite magic screen complete set didn't live up to my expectations. The pegs are difficult to insert and keep falling out, making it frustrating to use. The screen is also not as bright as I thought it would be, which makes it hard to see the designs. The set also doesn't come with enough templates, limiting the creativity of the toy. I wouldn't recommend buying this product.
