The Lemoyne mafic dike swarm is a well-known geological feature located in southeastern Canada and northeastern United States. This dike swarm consists of a series of parallel and interconnected dike segments made up of mafic rocks, particularly gabbro and diabase. The Lemoyne mafic dike swarm is considered to be one of the largest dike swarms in the world, covering an area of approximately 150,000 square kilometers. It extends from the Appalachian Mountains in the south to the St. Lawrence River in the north, and from Quebec in the east to New York in the west.
