The water temperatures have been **ideal** for a variety of fish species, including bass, trout, and catfish. Anglers have been having great success catching large-mouth bass in the early morning and late evening hours. Using topwater lures and soft plastic baits has been the way to go. Trout fishing has been **excellent** as well, with many anglers reporting good numbers of catches.

Trout fishing has been **excellent** as well, with many anglers reporting good numbers of catches. The best bait to use for trout has been power bait and worms. Fly fishing has been productive too, with anglers having success using small nymphs and dry flies.

If catfish is your target species, you're in luck! Many anglers have been catching catfish in decent sizes. Chicken liver and nightcrawlers have been the bait of choice for catfish, and fishing near brush piles or submerged structure has been very successful. Overall, this past week has been one of the **best** in recent memory for fishing. The conditions have been perfect, and the fish have been biting like crazy.
