The incident of the 100 amulets refers to a curious event that occurred in a small village surrounded by dense forests. This village, known for its mystical atmosphere, had been the center of many stories and legends, but none had captured the imagination of the villagers quite like the incident of the 100 amulets. It all began when a mysterious traveler arrived in the village, claiming to possess a collection of amulets that held extraordinary powers. The traveler, known only as Anaya, had traveled far and wide in search of these amulets, and eventually stumbled upon them in a hidden cave deep within the forest. Word of Anaya's discovery spread rapidly throughout the village, and curiosity soon turned into obsession. The villagers desperately wanted to see these miraculous amulets for themselves, believing that they held the key to unlocking their own personal desires and wishes.
Its pages contain remarkably vivid drawings depicting over 30 kinds of beastly creatures from Hell as shown in the gallery above.
Written in a mixture of German and Latin, the 18th-century demonic guide opens with an eerie page adorned by skeletons and a warning that reads noli me tangere , meaning do not touch me. Could it be any smaller when the entirety of its pages contains a multitude of texts from the Old Testament and New Testament to the Chronicle of Bohemia by Cosmas.

Anaya, however, was reluctant to showcase the amulets to the villagers. Knowing their true potential, he feared that they would be misused and fall into the wrong hands.

1775 looks like it was an interesting year in demonology and magic.
This book was published with a "DO NOT TOUCH" warning on its cover. The Declaration of Independence was signed less than a year later. Connect the dots, people.
The full Latin title of Compendium rarissimum totius Artis Magicae sistematisatae per celeberrimos Artis hujus Magistros, roughly translates to "A rare summary of the entire Magical Art by the most famous Masters of this Art". With a title page adorned with skeletons and the warning of Noli me tangere (Do not touch me), one quickly gets a sense of the dark oddities lurking inside its pages. The bulk of the illustrations depict a varied bestiary of grotesque demonic creatures up to all sorts of appropriately demonic activities, such as chewing down on severed legs, spitting fire and snakes from genitalia, and parading around decapitated heads on sticks. In additon there seem also to be pictures relating to necromancy, the act of communicating with the dead in order to gain information about, and possibly control, the future. Written in German and Latin the book has been dated to around 1775, although it seems the unknown author tried to pass it off as an older relic, mentioning the year 1057 in the title page.

The villagers eagerly accepted this condition, desperate to experience the power of the amulets, even if only for a fleeting moment. And so, one by one, the villagers took turns wearing the amulets. Some sought wealth and prosperity, others longed for love and happiness, while a few hoped for good health and protection. Each villager had their own unique desires, and they believed wholeheartedly that the amulets would make their dreams come true. As the amulets were passed from one villager to another, an air of excitement and anticipation filled the village. Desires were met, dreams were fulfilled, or so it seemed. The villagers flourished in their newfound fortunes and happiness, and the village itself began to prosper in ways it had never seen before. But as time went on, a sense of unease and unrest crept over the villagers. They started to realize that the amulets came with a heavy price. The desires they had sought so desperately were accompanied by unforeseen consequences. Relationships crumbled, friendships were destroyed, and families became estranged. Slowly, the village descended into chaos, as the amulets unleashed chaos and discord. It became clear that the power of the amulets came at a great cost, one that the villagers had not fully comprehended. Realizing his mistake, Anaya gathered the amulets once again and returned them to the hidden cave. The village, now devastated by the fallout of their desires, slowly began to rebuild and heal. The incident of the 100 amulets had taught them a valuable lesson - that true happiness and contentment could not be found in external objects, but rather in the simple joys of life and the connections they shared with one another. The incident of the 100 amulets became a cautionary tale, passed down through generations, reminding the villagers to cherish what they had and to be mindful of the consequences of their desires. It served as a stark reminder that true happiness lies not in material possessions, but in the intangible bonds of love, friendship, and community..

1. Alex - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Incident of the 100 amulets". The story seemed promising, but it quickly became convoluted and hard to follow. The writing style was also lacking, with awkward and repetitive language throughout. The characters were underdeveloped and lacked depth, making it hard to connect or care about their fates. Overall, I found this book to be a letdown and wouldn't recommend it to others.
2. Emily - 1/5 stars - I couldn't even finish reading "Incident of the 100 amulets" because it was so tedious and boring. The plot dragged on without much happening, and the descriptions were overly detailed and didn't add anything to the story. The dialogue was unrealistic and forced, making it hard to believe in the characters' interactions. I was truly disappointed by this book and would caution others to avoid it.
