The passage is a further development of the complaint in Jeremiah 15 10, and stands in no connection with the consolatory close of the preceding passage. I found "I curse the day you were born" to be a complete waste of time. The plot was incredibly weak, the characters lacked depth, and the writing style was uninspiring.
