Once upon a time, in a world full of magic and wonder, there was a fairy god witch named Cassandra. Unlike the typical fairies or witches, Cassandra possessed both powers, making her a unique and powerful being. Cassandra had long, flowing white hair and mesmerizing sea-green eyes that sparkled with wisdom. She wore a vibrant purple gown adorned with intricate golden patterns, symbolizing her magical abilities. Her voice was gentle and soothing, yet carried an air of authority and confidence. Remember that the Bible does speak against magic, sorcery and related things and sternly warns about engaging in such things (Exodus 7:11, 8:7, Leviticus 19:31, Isaiah 57:3-4, Jeremiah 27:9, Malachi 3:5, Acts 8:9, et.al.). Parents must be discerning about everything their children see and read, but the extreme caution of banning children from all secular media can be dangerous too. It can isolates them from their peers. Children seek to relate to their friends (to “fit-in”) and they need to be guided in how to do so. Banning all secular media will not prepare them to enter the world. They will be confronted with non-biblical messages and it might be best to allow them to see some while a parent is able to explain and teach the dangers and lies of such a message. Banning secular media that contains fantasy can also rob children of one of the pleasures of being a child. Children should be allowed to be children. Children delight in mystery and fantasy. It is the duty of parents to protect and guide their inquisitive and imaginative minds and decide what is age appropriate and beneficial for their learning—and most importantly what will promote Christ-focused, Christ-honoring, Holy Spirit-guided living.

The week of Halloween means that witchcraft is in the air, as those who binged “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” last weekend know all too well. That said, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” the delightful oddball of the CW/DC universe, can be relied upon to find its own unique spin on the subject for the second episode of Season 4, “Witch Hunt.”
In classic “Legends” fashion, the clip below transports the show’s time-travelling ensemble, including Sara (Caity Lotz), Constantine (Matt Ryan), Rory (Dominic Purcell), and Ray (Brandon Routh) to a different time: specifically, the era of the Salem Witch Trials, but with an anachronistic twist. While the persecution of young women suspected of witchcraft during the 1600s is an established part of history, there’s nothing in the history books about one of them having a “Cinderella”-esque fairy godmother hovering about them.

When the magical Time Seismograph goes off, the team finds themselves headed to the Salem witch trials. Sara (Caity Lotz) notices that Zari (Tala Ashe) is taking this case personally when she promises to save a mom, who is being accused of being a witch. However, the team quickly learns that there is a magical creature in the town creating problems they hadn’t been expecting. Meanwhile, Nate (Nick Zano) and Ava (Jes Macallan) work together to try to keep their Time Bureau funding by proving to them that magic exists.

- Sarah - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Fairy God Witch". The characters felt underdeveloped and the plot was predictable. I was hoping for a whimsical and enchanting tale, but it fell flat. The writing style was lackluster and I struggled to get immersed in the story. Overall, it was a letdown and I wouldn't recommend it.

The main character was annoying and there was nothing unique about the magic system. The dialogue was forced and lacked depth. I couldn't connect with any of the characters and found myself skimming through pages just to finish it. Save yourself the trouble and skip this one.
