The Sinister Spells of the Evil Queen's Magic Mirror

By admin

The evil queen's magic mirror is a prominent element in various folklore and fairy tales. It is often depicted as a mirror that possesses magical powers and has the ability to speak and provide answers to the queen's questions or desires. One well-known example of an evil queen's magic mirror is featured in the story of Snow White. In this tale, the evil queen possesses a mirror that she consults daily, asking who the fairest in the land is. The mirror, being enchanted, always responds truthfully, and for many years, the queen receives the answer she desires. However, as Snow White grows older and becomes more beautiful than the queen, the mirror's response changes, which eventually drives the queen to take drastic measures against Snow White.

However, as Snow White grows older and becomes more beautiful than the queen, the mirror's response changes, which eventually drives the queen to take drastic measures against Snow White. The magic mirror is often portrayed as a symbol of vanity, as the evil queen in many tales is obsessed with maintaining her beauty and being the most beautiful in the land. This obsession leads the queen to seek validation from the mirror, and its responses determine her actions and decisions in the story.

I must admit, I love the classic old animated films of Disney (classics such as Snow White, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Bambi, etc.) and I occasionally collect Disney memorabilia, both old and new. For years and years I dreamed that one day the people over at Disney would produce a replica of the Wicked Queen’s magic mirror from Snow White (ya know – mirror, mirror on the wall), not a child’s toy, but a real sized adult decor mirror, and to my delight that’s exactly what they did about ten years ago (when you wish upon a star your dreams come true)! This mirror is made of glass, resin and Swarovski crystals and it’s an exact replica taken from the film (the makers went back to the original drawings to get it just right). Only 2500 were produced. As you can see, I placed an apple under the mirror to tie in with the story of the beautiful, but poisoned apple given to Snow White by the evil queen disguised as an old woman, and in the last photo, you can see me pretending to be the spirit in the mirror.

I love the macabre too, Ted. In fact, there are a few things around our house that I haven’t shared here because I think they may be too macabre. August 26th, 2011 Log in to Reply

It’s one of my favorite things, Shirlie. In a couple of years, Spider and I are planning to down-size to a smaller house and we’re gonna get rid of most of our stuff (and go minimalist), but I don’t think I can part with this mirror! January 9th, 2012 Log in to Reply

Reviews for "The Mirror's Betrayal: The Evil Queen's Ultimate Weapon"

1. Samantha - ⭐ - I found "Evil Queen Magic Mirror" to be incredibly disappointing. The storyline was cliché and lacked any originality. The characters were one-dimensional and lacked depth, making it difficult to feel any connection or interest in their journey. Additionally, the writing style was dull and uninspiring, failing to draw me into the world the author was trying to create. Overall, I found this book to be a complete waste of time and would not recommend it to anyone.
2. Jeremy - ⭐ - "Evil Queen Magic Mirror" was a letdown for me. The plot felt disjointed and overly predictable. The dialogue was stiff and unnatural, making it difficult for me to engage with the story or the characters. The pacing was also uneven, with some parts dragging on while others felt rushed and underdeveloped. I was hoping for a fresh twist on the classic tale, but instead, I got a lackluster and forgettable read.
3. Emily - ⭐⭐ - I had high hopes for "Evil Queen Magic Mirror," but it unfortunately fell short of my expectations. The writing was lackluster, and the characters felt superficial and unrelatable. The attempt at creating a dark and twisted world was poorly executed, leaving me disinterested and disconnected. While there were moments of potential, they were quickly overshadowed by the overall mediocrity of the book. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a captivating and well-crafted fantasy read.
