Update: Console patch notes are revealed.

  • To begin your adventures in Necrom, you can do any of the following:
    • Create a new character and play through the tutorial
    • Enter the zone with an existing character by one of the following means:
      • Use a boat or cart outside Elden Root, Mournhold, or Wayrest to travel to the Necrom Docks
      • Travel to a friend who is already in the Telvanni Peninsula or Apocrypha
      • Six delves, two in the Telvanni Peninsula and four in Apocrypha, each with its own Skyshard, boss, and associated content.
      • Six challenging world bosses, from Coryls the Chain-Maker and House Dres’ terrifying slavers encroaching on House Telvanni’s lands, to the mind-bending Prime Cataloguer, a Seeker that toils to the point of madness in the Libram Cathedral in Apocrypha.
      • Two public dungeons: the once-beautiful island of Gorne, a sanitarium for the maddened mages of House Telvanni now overrun by Daedra interested only in sowing chaos, and the enigmatic Underweave, a vast and unknowable facility where Hermaeus Mora’s hostile minions process the fates of realities that never came to pass.
      • Three new set crafting locations
      • Nine additional quest objectives
      • Multiple side quests, unique distractions and many other encounters sown throughout the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha

      Bastion Nymic World Events
Shadows loom over both Apocrypha and the Telvanni Peninsula as a coterie of dark forces strike out at Hermaeus Mora to learn his most guarded secrets. These dark forces, led by a sinister figure known as the Herald, have set their eyes on Bastion Nymic, a fortress of Hermeaus Mora’s realm which holds Nymics – powerful names that can control Daedra once learned.

      • To thwart these forces, you must first make contact with Ordinator Tandessa, a Hermaeus Mora worshipper masquerading as one of the proud Ordinators of the Tribunal, and accept her request for aid. Once that’s done, you will need to scour the lands of the Telvanni Peninsula or Apocrypha for Herald’s Seekers, corrupted gatekeepers of Bastion Nymic.
        • These maddened sentries will need to be killed so their ichor can be harvested and used to open the way to Bastion Nymic. Be prepared and travel with allies – they won’t go down easily!
        • You and your group must fight your way through various districts of Bastion Nymic, felling foes and unravelling secrets until you confront the Herald at the heart of the fortress and kill them.
        • Once the invaders have been dispatched, you can claim your prize from Ordinator Tandessa.

        New Class: The Arcanist
Owning the Necrom Chapter will allow you to channel the eldritch powers of Apocrypha as an Arcanist! These scholarly spellcasters channel secret runes and abyssal spells to destroy their enemies, heal their allies, and defend against any foe.

        • The Arcanist features a unique mechanic where some abilities can build or spend Crux. Each Crux you have, up to three maximum, will either passively increase your capabilities in combat or add further capabilities to abilities that spend Crux.
          • Crux gives the Arcanist a unique gameplay experience not yet seen in ESO and offers a greater variety in your gameplay whether you’re in Trials, questing or PvP.
          • You’ll see how much Crux you currently have by the floating runes circling your character.
          • You can only generate Crux while in combat.
          • The new “Aim Assist” function is found in the Accessibility panel in your options, which gives your targeting a little help at 100% value.
          • This can be reduced all the way to 0 (disabled) if desired.

Two New Companions: Sharp-as-Night and Azadar al-Cybiades
Two new Companions can be befriended in Necrom by completing their associated Chapter content. Sharp-as-Night, the gruff mercenary, can be found near the city gates of Necrom. The bombastic and personable Azandar al-Cybiades, magus supreme, can be found around the outskirts of Cipher’s Midden in Apocrypha.

          • If you have access to the Necrom Chapter, you can unlock the two Companions through completing associated quests in the Necrom zone.
          • Once either introduction quest is completed, the respective Companion collectible will be granted.
            • These collectibles can be found in the Collections menu under the Allies category, in the Companion subcategory.
            • You may have either a Companion or an Assistant active at one time.
            • Companion collectibles may be activated from the Collections menu or quick slotted for ease of use.
            • Once unlocked, other characters on your account will need to also complete the associated introductory objective to utilize Sharp or Azandar, but skill line, level progression and equipment are preserved on each Companion regardless which character summoned them.
            • Sharp provides “Sharp’s Patience” which offers an improved chance at finding trophy fish and slightly reducing reel time.
            • Azandar grants “Azandar’s Inquisitiveness” which gives you a chance to discover research portfolios when searching containers. Portfolios can contain crafting recipes, treasure maps, research notes, survey reports, and other documents of value.

            New Trial: Sanity’s Edge
A mind is a terrible thing to waste, especially one as bright and holds as much promise as that of Warlock Vanton. Filleting Multiple Stacks of Fish
We’ve added the capability to fillet multiple fish simultaneously. This feature can be accessed by visiting any Provisioning station.

                              • There is a new tab at all Provisioning stations dedicated to filleting fish.
                              • You can fillet multiple stacks of fish simultaneously.

                              New PvP Keep Messaging
We’ve added new messaging for guilds that claim keeps and resources in Cyrodiil. This new feature is delivered through a chat message or on-screen notification stating how many guards were killed and by how many enemy combatants were in the area at the time. There are also follow up messages noting when guards are no longer being killed at a claimed keep, outpost or resource.

                              • This messaging only applies to players within Cyrodiil and match the Alliance of the keep/resource/outpost.
                              • If a Guild owns a Keep and its resources are claimed by other guilds, the Keep owner will also be notified when resource guards are killed.
                              • This new feature can be found in your Social menu in the game options; you can choose where the messages are displayed or you can disable them entirely.

Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for this change?!
Stuga is now stationary near certain taverns in Daggerfall, Davon’s Watch, and Vulkhel Guard. She will still try to flag you down, of course, but will no longer endlessly chase you and only shouts her greeting when you enter into a certain proximity.

                              New PlayStation Trophies
We’ve added four new PlayStation Trophies in Necrom, all of which require earning the associated in-game achievement.

                              • “Champion of Necrom” is a bronze trophy
                              • “Archmage of Apocrypha” is a bronze trophy
                              • “Sanity’s Edge Vanquisher” is a silver trophy
