no. Pathfinder takes all the fiddly stuff and makes it boring. Because of another thread i recently went back and reread a lot of the 1st edition rules. I was very shocked to realize that I think 1st edition, (if you follow the rules) was more balanced than any edition since.
Mages were freaking powerful, but they had almost no hitpoints, any damage interrupted a spell and it was lost forever, spells took a looooong time to memorize. I know this simply blows spell complexity through the roof, but I mean, wouldn t that be so awesome if Paizo really went all in with multi-action spell casting.
.
What does Detect Magic actually detect?
You send out a pulse that registers the presence of magic. You receive no information beyond the presence or absence of magic. You can choose to ignore magic you're fully aware of, such as the magic items and ongoing spells of you and your allies.
What exactly does count as "presence of magic"? From this context, it seems like magic items and ongoing spells do count, but what about magical creatures? Magical hazards? Other "magical" things?

Reviews for "The Evolution of Dependent Compressor Techniques"
1. John - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Dpnde xomprsr mafic jinwy". The storyline was confusing and hard to follow, and the characters were underdeveloped. I kept waiting for something exciting or interesting to happen, but it never did. The film dragged on and I found myself getting bored halfway through. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.
2. Sarah - 1 star - "Dpnde xomprsr mafic jinwy" was a complete waste of my time. The acting was wooden and the dialogue was cheesy. It felt like a low-budget, poorly made film. The plot was predictable and unoriginal, and there were no surprises or twists. I couldn't wait for it to be over, and I would never watch it again.
3. Mike - 2 stars - I had high hopes for "Dpnde xomprsr mafic jinwy", but it failed to meet my expectations. The special effects were lackluster and the cinematography was dull. The pacing was off, with long stretches of nothing happening followed by rushed and confusing action scenes. The overall tone of the film was also inconsistent, making it hard to connect with the characters or care about what was happening. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a die-hard fan of this genre.
