The Connection Between Disorder Magic Emblems and Chaos

By admin

Disorder magic emblems refer to a specific category of magical symbols that are associated with chaos, unpredictability, and imbalance. These emblems are often used in various forms of magic to harness the chaotic energies and manipulate them to achieve a desired outcome. The emblems typically represent abstract concepts rather than specific entities or objects. They can take various forms, such as intricate patterns, symbols, or glyphs, and are often characterized by their asymmetry and irregular shapes. Disorder magic emblems can evoke a sense of anarchy and disarray, reflecting the very essence of chaos itself. In magic, these emblems are utilized to disrupt order, challenge the status quo, and introduce elements of unpredictability into a spell or ritual.

Although the last sentence of the -X could read: "It becomes a black zombie in addition to its other colors and types.", but at this point we are merely shaving off a word or two, and a comma. Not exactly indicative of needing "a lot of work".

And I messed up the formatting on the second part of the emblem because it isn t on a creature that you don t want to effect, so it shouldn t say another it should just say a. "Death, is only life, perfected."

"Does a mother not yearn for her child to never hunger? A father concerned about work, without fatigue? To fear disease, famine, disorder and failure. Why become consumed with the shackles of life, when you could be dead, everlasting?"

The ultimate feels like it could be better, maybe with a bonus of indestructible.

Either way though, Zombie commanders in Orzhov/Abzan are surprisingly few and far between.

  • The -9 takes 2 turns to get,
  • is an emblem with two of the most powerful keyword abilities (auto-kill and pushing your life total so high nobody can touch you)
  • Supports one of the best "go-wide" as well as "go-tall" tribes in the game, if not the single best one
  • Holds amazing synergy with his -X because when the creature ETB it'll be a zombie foe the emblem to copy
  • Yields synergy with Parallel Lives , Anointed Procession and all of the other green doublers. As well as Endless Ranks of the Dead and Liliana, the Last Hope
  • Speaking of which, he starts at 5 so Doubling Season and Vorinclex, Monsterous Raider kick him off immediately
  • Lastly, being an emblem, you could -9 multiple times. Sure Deathtouch and Lifelink won't stack, but the token copying will.

All things considered, being a tribal Commander, being able to utilize it to it's full extent is actually quite powerful.

Although, perhaps giving them +1/+1 would be nice, so if you do get multiple emblems, it'll stack as well.

Formatting could use a lot of work, but the idea is cool.

Other than a missed period in the ultimate, the formatting is exactly as other cards are currently printed.

Although the last sentence of the -X could read: "It becomes a black zombie in addition to its other colors and types.", but at this point we are merely shaving off a word or two, and a comma. Not exactly indicative of needing "a lot of work".

First ability should read ". card milled this way. " Oubliette is the only card with the words "in this way" on it and that is because "phases in" was directly beside "this way" on the other 744 cards always say "this way".

Second ability should read "Put target non-artifact creature with mana value X or less from a graveyard on to the battlefield under you control. It's a black Zombie in addition to its other colors and types" to conform with current formatting of abilities of this type. You don't target the player to affect a single card. You target the player when you are affecting all cards in their graveyard or a group of cards in their graveyard.

Third ability should be '. and "Whenever another nontoken Zombie enters the battlefield under your control, create a token that’s a copy of it, except the token isn’t legendary if that Zombie is legendary."' You can literally just copy Miirym's ability and change "Dragon" to "Zombie" to get the correct formatting.

It is "a lot of work" but I didn't want to go into all the mistakes because I like the design. I literally could never design a card in my life. I wasn't trying to criticize the design. I was saying that, to be formatted in a way that would be printed, all of the abilities needed tweaking. The middle one in two places and one of which would actually have mechanical implications.

And I messed up the formatting on the second part of the emblem because it isn't on a creature that you don't want to effect, so it shouldn't say "another" it should just say "a". That is what I get for copying from a creature to an emblem without consideration of syntax.

Disorder magic emblems

Individuals who practice disorder magic often have a unique affinity for chaos and possess an inherent ability to tap into the unruly energies of the universe. They are skilled at wielding disorder magic emblems to amplify their spells, creating potent effects that can be both unpredictable and volatile. However, mastery over disorder magic requires a delicate balance, as too much chaos can render the magic ineffective or even backfire on the user. It is important to note that disorder magic emblems are not inherently evil or malevolent. While the use of chaos and disorder can be seen as destructive, disorder magic practitioners believe that chaos is a natural and necessary force in the universe, serving as a catalyst for change and growth. These emblems are simply tools that can be harnessed for various purposes, depending on the intentions of the practitioner. In summary, disorder magic emblems are symbols associated with chaos, unpredictability, and imbalance. They are utilized by practitioners of disorder magic to disrupt order, introduce elements of chaos, and manipulate the flow of magical energies. While disorder magic can be seen as destructive, it is also viewed as a natural force that can facilitate change and growth..
