I am back with more NCDs, this time from their summer collections. I'm a little behind due to a temporary and minor loss of some smells due to the unmentionable thing going on, but I'm back to normal now! These are mostly free from NCD in exchange for honest reviews. I did get a few with my own money due to my inability to shorten my wish list.
A bit about me: I love anything sweet. I haven't been opting for straight florals as much these days, but I like them mixed with fruit, dessert, or grungy notes. Sometimes wood notes go a little weird on my skin and remind me of men's cologne from the mall. I haven't quite narrowed down exactly which notes or combinations do it, but I have some I always avoid. Flourishing A bountiful bouquet for growth, expansion, and smashing glass ceilings. Top notes of lime blossom and snipped stems, a heart of French lilac, ylang ylang, and non-indolic jasmine, with a base of orris root and creamy green coconut. Wear to cast off inhibitions and embrace your fullest potential. - This starts out very floral with a lot of masculine leaning greenery, but don't let that throw you off. It quickly chills out and turns into a beautiful green floral. I am very hesitant with jasmine, but also love lilac. The two of them are playing so nice with the lime blossom, it's wonderful. I haven't been much of a floral person lately, but this has potential to change my mind. 9/10
Divine Feminine An ode to the Universal Goddess in all of her aspects. Madagascar vanilla bean, coconut water, white amber, myrrh, cubeb, sacred benzoin, and a glimmer of cardamom. Wear to ignite your own divine connection and become open to abundance. - I saw cardamom so here we are. It's actually a bit lighter than I thought it would be. The coconut water and white amber keeps it from going fully fall/winter in my collection. It's a solid addition to my late summer/early fall collection and I think this will be a FS. It's the husband's favorite of this round too. 10/10
Attitude Adjustment A quick pick-me-up to banish bad moods. Sheer vanilla orchid, olive leaf, lemon blossom, pink grapefruit, benzoin, ylang ylang, and a spritz of fresh ginger. Wear to elevate your perspective and deflect negativity - This haul arrived on a day where I had 11 meetings and a DMV appointment, and I just overall had a rough day. I wasn't even going to do any out-of-the-package testing and I always do that. However. The name of this one in particular made me try it out and folks it was worth it. It kicks off with a feel of almost nostalgia and bubblegum. It morphs a bit as it dries down and the notes separate themselves a bit. It feels surprisingly warm, but still summer appropriate. I'm going to full size this. 10/10
Come Hither In the time-honored tradition of Love Me, Come to Me, and Follow Me Boy hoodoo oils, this is an irresistibly sensual blend for getting - and keeping - someone's attention. Wild pink roses glistening with dew, Southern sweet tea, candied ginger and a gentle touch of clove. This oil is additionally infused with rose quartz, the classic choice for unconditional love. It encourages self-care and assists in maintaining a warm, receptive demeanor. Wear as a beguiling perfume or warm in a diffuser to evoke an air of romance. - hmmm this is definitely heavier on the rose note than anything. I think I was pulling for the other notes, but they're getting left behind. It's a beautiful rose note and it definitely doesn't give me old lady vibes at all because it is sweetened up with tea. The ginger and clove add a bit of a kick too. 6/10

Lime zest, sparkling white grapefruit, bergamot, allspice, sun-warmed teak, cardamom pods, amber resin, frankincense, fresh green fig, and a wisp of Chinese trumpet lily. Apply to pulse points when engaging in your craft. Anoint the tools of your trade or dress candles to invoke artistic acumen. - This has some ZEST. All of those citrus top notes hit like a cup of coffee. Gets the people going. It calms down into a green, fig forward fragrance. It's kept warm with some cardamom. I definitely get the name, it's a initial shock and settles into a unique but comfortable mix. 9/10
Crown To illuminate your charisma, turn every head and light up the room. Regal amber, and heliotrope are gilded with benzoin, sunwashed teak, and a slice of ripe nectarine. This oil is additionally infused with gold, sacred to the sun in Western Esoteric tradition. Wear this enchanted perfume to amplify your natural charm and radiance. - An amber, heliotrope and citrus blend added to my cart? Shocker. I love the warm, sunny mixes from NCD. This definitely fits in with Leo and heliophilia with general feel. If you're a fan of those, you'll like this. 8/10
Full Moon At the height of her power, the moon adorns each wisp of cloud in a luminous mist of diamonds. Wear this sacred scent to invoke mystery, magick, and intuition. Notes of white tea, steamed jasmine rice, sugared lemon, and cool night air. - I wanted to like this one, but the jasmine and lemon combination did not play well to my nose. It was just a little too sharp for me. The rice made a good attempt at a calming base, but it wasn't quite enough. Good attempt though. 4/10
Guiding Star A magical compass to navigate you steadily along your unique spiritual path. Australian white sandalwood, green tea, acacia, bright amber, flowers of lavender and angelica, Persian lime, Palo Santo, a touch of sage, and a twist of orange. Wear this enchanted oil for clarity, insight, and to help you choose wisely. - this one morphs a lot! It starts out with the bright citrus top notes that get your attention, the green tea and lavender combo keep you going, and the sandalwood and sage are in it for the long haul. This is delightful! 8/10
Hex Breaker Banish bad luck, malefaction, and ill will with this powerful purification oil. Fresh lemon, angelica root, eucalyptus, dill, and sage are brightened by blackberry and grounded in dark patchouli, pipe tobacco, and vetiver. This scent was originally crafted for soy candles and bath spells featured in our Samhain Crone’s Crate. - Be prepared to power through the initial hex on this one. The first bit is very witchy, but not necessarily dark. It is very solidly a witch's brew at the beginning. Once it dries the blackberry note comes out and lightens the whole thing, making it a bit more wearable. It's definitely a late summer early fall mix. If you're planning to brew some kind of party drink featuring dry ice, this is a must have. 7/10
Sleep Elixir A light, summertime sister to our beloved Tryptophan perfume oil. Bulgarian lavender, gentle rain, aloe leaf, tulsi, blue chamomile, neroli, catmint, a grain of kava, and a sliver of key lime. Anoint your wrists and temples before you go to bed. Its cooling, calming vibration supports deep, restorative rest. - It's very cool, but that lime is hitting pretty hard for me to call it calming! Maybe I just amp citrus notes because that's the first thing I've been smelling with this recent haul. I was searching for aloe notes from NCD after recently discovering my love for them, and this aloe delivers. It's a cool, semi-aquatic feeling fragrance without going full aquatic (yes I know there's a rain note, but I still say it's not fully aquatic) If there's a version of this that can be added to a post- sunburn concoction then I'm all over it. 8/10
Cut and Clear a no-nonsense banishing blend to expel negativity from your life. Fresh lemon zest, purifying benzoin, black raspberry bramble with the thorns left on, rainwater, Silver Needle white tea, angelica, garden mint, crushed white peppercorn, and bay leaf, infused with home-grown lemon thyme and lemon verbena. Wear to repel bad influences and hurtful people. Anoint papers inscribed with the name(s) of whomever you want to remove from your circle, set your magical intention, then burn the paper on a Saturday during the waning moon. - Fresh, citrus-y, twisted, summertime blend! The thorns have been left on those brambles, because there is something a little sharp about it - maybe the mint and peppercorn combo? This is a complex twist on your standard summer blend. 8/10
Green Flash This elusive sunset phenomenon starts out as neon-bright kiwi lime juiciness, then settles into a crisp aquatic blend of green tea, cucumber, aloe vera, and the unearthly glow of marine phosphorescence. Wear this refreshing scent for a boost of vitality and vigor. It's a powerful ally against brain fog and fatigue. - That kiwi lime gives this a fresh start for sure! This has a very electric feel to it. It dries down into a green aquatic with the tea, cucumber, and aloe blend. I've dipped my toes in a little out of my comfort zone with aquatics, but others are sure to love this. 6/10
Gargoyle Mysterious sculptural denizens of Gothic architecture said to offer fierce protection or dire warning. Rain-drenched lavender, cathedral incense, beeswax candles, and ancient stone. Wear as an energetic shield against all misfortune and malefaction. - I looooove NCDs lavender and this is the grunge lavender my PNW heart has long desired. The lavender and incense mix is cool and soothing, and the stone note makes it a bit more outdoorsy and weirder than the main stream. This is a must try for lavender lovers. 9/10
Continuous Collection
Chill A gently cooling blend to help you keep a level head and a calm disposition, even when tempers flare. Ice blue aquatic notes, crisp cucumber, crisp cotton, and fresh-cut aloe. - This has to be one of NCDs coldest scents that doesn't have the words "snow" or "frost" in the description. The crisp description is pretty spot on. Again, I might have gotten a bit more adventurous into aquatics than I normally would, but I was after that aloe note. I still love the aloe, but "ice blue aquatics" are the strongest note I'm getting. I like it, but this one's aquatic-lovers only 5/10
