Witch Naturally Clear Blemish Stick and Witch Concealer Review

So, as you all saw in my Morning Makeup Routine post, I’ve been breaking out rather badly these past couple of months on my forehead. This seems to be clearing up slightly now (touch wood) but while suffering, I tried many different remedies. One brand I did try is Witch. This brand aims to be a natural remedy to blemishes with the help of the anti bacterial ingredient witch hazel which is the basis of all of their products.

I first heard about the Witch Naturally Clear Blemish Stick from my boyfriend. Whilst staying at his house about 6 months ago some little spots appeared on my chin. He gave me this little stick to put on them and said it was a natural way to get rid of them. Since I only used it once or twice whilst at his house, it was hard to judge whether it really helped. However, whilst in boots spying for things to combat my recent breakout I came across both the blemish stick and a concealer from the same brand which claimed to fight the spot whilst covering it. With claims such as those, how could I leave the shop without it!?

Witch Naturally Clear Blemish Stick (£2.89)

This little stick does do wonders for spots. You can put it on as often as you feel needs as it is natural and you never feel bad about putting too much on as it doesn’t contain any nasty chemicals! It helped reduce spot size with constant use and the smell is pretty nice too!

The stick comes in the little tube which you push up from the bottom, some people have mentioned that it is hard to get back down again but I just just push it down with the other side of the cap and it works fine! I can tell it’s also going to last me quite a while as I still have lots left which is great considering the price was so cheap!

There are only a few concerns I have about this product.

  • I have naturally dry skin so this (along with Tea Tree Oil which I also love for spots) can dry the areas around my spots out when applied, so I have to be careful not to apply too much. If you have really really dry skin then this may be something to take in to account. However, I was fine with this as long as I didn’t accidentally apply it where it was not needed.
  • Also, I’m not sure how well this would work for acne prone skin. I don’t really have too much of a problem with spots (despite the out breakout) I’m not the clearest of all skin types by a long way but I don’t have acne. For acne prone skin I might suggest that this might not be strong enough to combat the spots. However, my boyfriend likes using it as it gives his face a rest from all the chemicals in spot creams given to him by the doctor. So, if you do have acne prone skin and are looking for a more natural solution, this may be for you. But again, I’m not sure it will be strong enough! So all you can do is try!!
  • Lastly, this product isn’t great if you want to apply makeup over it, it flakes and gives the makeup an odd colour. So I would suggest only using it if you are having a no makeup day, once you have taken your makeup off or before you go to sleep as makeup over it just makes the blemish more noticeable … But I guess that’s where with Witch Concealer comes in useful…

All in all this is a great little natural product and I will b e purchasing it again!

Witch Concealer (4.99)

As I said earlier, this product claims to fight the s pot whilst covering it as it contains Witch Hazel. You can tell that their is Witch Hazel in it as you can smell it in the product! However, I wouldn’t go as far to say that this concealer helps spots. I didn’t notice any difference in my spots from when I applied the product to after I had taken the product off at the end of the day, that being said, it definitely didn’t do any damage to them, or the surrounding area. Sometimes after using concealer on my spots, I find the blemishes become irritated and the area around them comes up in little spots. With this concealer, that didn’t happen. So even though it didn’t help the blemishes like the product claims, I didn’t have to worry about applying too much and causing my skin to break out even more!

As far as the concealer side of it, from what I can see it only comes in one shade! the shade I find to be a bit too orangey for my skin tone, however, it does blend out to look natural if a bit of time is spent on it. It does cover well but not as well as my Rimmel Hide The Blemish Concealer (Which I love but is quite thick and can sometimes make my skin around the spot worse). All in all I think I would purchase this product again. Simply because I never have to worry about making my breakouts worse when I wear it and because it is more natural than other concealers!

Hope everyone’s having a lovely, blemish free day!

I was really excited when I heard about "Cherry Magic in English" because I love Japanese dramas. However, I was quite disappointed with this one. The storyline was predictable and lacked depth. The characters felt one-dimensional and I couldn't connect with any of them. The acting was also below par, with many scenes feeling forced and unnatural. Overall, I found "Cherry Magic in English" to be a below-average drama that didn't live up to its potential.

"Cherry Magic in English" had an interesting concept, but it fell short in execution. The pacing of the show was too slow, making it hard to stay engaged. The chemistry between the main characters was lackluster, and the romance felt forced and awkward. The humor also fell flat for me, with the jokes feeling forced and unnatural. While the show had its moments, overall I found it to be a mediocre drama that didn't capture my interest.

I was really excited to watch "Cherry Magic in English" as I had heard good things about the original Japanese version. However, this adaptation left much to be desired. The English dubbing was poorly done and took away from the authenticity of the characters. The dialogue felt stilted and unnatural, making it hard to connect with the story. The pacing was also too slow, with many unnecessary scenes dragging on. Overall, I was left disappointed with "Cherry Magic in English" and would recommend sticking to the original Japanese version.
