I have a black magic keyboard and want the magic trackpad. Of course I'd want the black trackpad to match, though I don't like paying the premium just on the color. In hindsight, I wish I purchased the white keyboard because it shows less. My question is, do fingerprints/oil show on the black trackpad like the keyboard? I see more deals on the white trackpad and it's enticing to save the money and get something that won't show as much. But it's about workflow so maybe it doesn't matter?

You will definitely see finger oil on the trackpad (not at first sight, you have to look for it a bit), not so much fingerprints. But it will not be as bad as the keyboard, because the matte glass finish does a better job to hide fingerprints than plastic. The silver trackpad of my MacBook Pro is cleaner, so if it bothers you, you should look for a lighter color. I will say tho that the black Magic Trackpad looks great

Very helpful thank you. I was looking for a reason to save the money and get the light color. But would be jarring that I have a space gray MBpro and a black keyboard. And a black desk.

One of the standout features of the Apple Magic Trackpad is its Force Touch technology. This technology detects the amount of pressure applied to the trackpad and responds accordingly. Users can perform a light press to access additional functionalities, such as quick look previews or contextual menus. A deeper press triggers a different action, giving users more control and flexibility in their interactions. The Apple Magic Trackpad also supports the use of multiple fingers simultaneously, allowing for even more versatility in navigation and control. Users can use three or four fingers to swipe between desktop spaces or switch between full-screen apps. This feature enhances productivity and streamlines workflow, making it easier to navigate through various tasks. In conclusion, the Apple Magic Trackpad in black is a stylish and functional accessory that enhances the user experience on a Mac. With its sleek design, wireless connectivity, and intuitive gestures, it provides users with a seamless and precise way to navigate, control, and interact with their computer. Whether for work or leisure, the Magic Trackpad is a valuable addition to any Mac setup..

Reviews for "Aesthetics and Functionality: Why the Apple Magic Trackpad bBlack is a Perfect Fit"

1. John - 1 star - The Apple magic trackpad may look sleek, but it is far from magical. The touch sensitivity is way too sensitive, causing constant accidental clicks and swipes. The lack of physical buttons also makes it frustrating to navigate and control. The trackpad also seems to lose connection frequently, requiring constant repairs and restarting. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the performance and functionality of this product.
2. Emily - 2 stars - I had high hopes for the Apple magic trackpad, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The design is stylish, but that's about the only positive aspect. The trackpad often freezes or lags, making it difficult to use smoothly. The gesture controls are also inconsistent, sometimes not registering at all or registering the wrong gestures. The lack of customization options for gestures is also disappointing. For the hefty price tag, I expected a much better experience.
3. Mike - 3 stars - The Apple magic trackpad has some nice features, but it falls short in terms of ergonomics. The thin design may look sleek, but it offers little wrist support and can cause discomfort with extended use. The lack of adjustable angles or heights also limits its usability for different hand sizes and preferences. Additionally, the trackpad does not provide the same level of precision as a traditional mouse, making it frustrating for precise tasks such as graphic design. Overall, while the trackpad has its benefits, it is not the best option for those seeking ergonomic comfort and precise control.
