My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic

This seems more like a show geared toward tweens. Compare the way the ponies treat each other with, say, the Octonauts, or Oona and Baba on Puffin Rock, or really any other characters from shows for preschoolers. On those other shows, characters are always supportive and kind. In contrast, the ponies are sarcastic, annoyed with each other, dismissive, and just plain rude. They laugh at each other for making mistakes. They try to mess each other up (e.g. the rainbow one has almost beaten her own record at bouncing a ball on her nose, and the butterfly one roars to make her drop the ball. Then everyone laughs. WTF.) Skip this. Watch a show like Gaby's Dollhouse, Ridley Jones, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, anything else where the characters *actually* model friendship.

Best times ever

This is the best cartoon. We definitely have a great time watching. I don't need to worry about the content and the life lessons are great. Yes there is episodes of bullies but at the end there is apologies, love and laughter. That's life. We learn life lessons from this shows and sometimes we have the most interesting discussions on what we learn. At the end of it all life magic of friendship and love always wins. I have 2 daughters 16 and 9. We been watching this forever and it never fails to give us the best girls nights.

May well be the greatest children's animated series of all time

My Little Pony is like an encyclical instruction manual for socialization and tackles just about every possible situation, challenge, conflict, and opportunity a human being can face, providing clearly modeled ways to achieve solutions, resolutions and paths to harmony, and does this through endlessly inventive and entertaining storytelling that is both unified and varied. It has all the elements of the epics of the world's great civilizations and teaches essential ethical and experiential lessons without becoming heavy handed or culturally tethered. The series is graced by excellent writing, fantastic music—including songs at times worthy of Broadway—and a developing storyline that draws a long arc and easily sustains interest. Some episodes conjure the power to instill lessons so vital and so true to heart that adults and children will both be left with tears of joy. Further, and in sharp contrast to much children's programming, this series is replete with reformed and redeemed "villains," and in many cases characters we first meet who are up to no good undergo genuine transformations while remaining real and complex. Most impressively the writing demonstrates a rare understanding of the underlying causes and emotional underpinnings of antisocial behaviors, including bullying, and even the series's arch-bully undergoes a significant change of heart once the social and emotional context of her bullying is revealed and processed in one of the show's most powerful and cathartic episodes. Characters achieve a great deal of three-dimensionality through gradual development. All three of my young boys enjoy this show—one (aged 6) is quite obsessed with it. Although branded (somewhat) as a young girls' animated series, this belies the deep universality if its messaging. Boys, girls, humans must not miss out on what this series teaches. It may be the only animated series teaching this much foundational social intelligence and this much kindness with such poise and care. My Little Pony is a pinnacle cultural achievement and a feather in the cap of humanity on the level of The Iliad and Odyssey, the Bhagavad Gita, Pope's Essay on Man, and Shakespeare's Sonnets. For real. And it is extremely fun, funny, joyful and playful too. A treasure that teaches us to treasure ourselves, and even demonstrates how!

Friendship and Family is truly magical!

This show is a great option for kids that love colorful ponies and unicorns have trouble in social settings or just want to watch something fun entertaining and wholesome while you are running an errand. I love that this series has good messages and that it doesn’t make kids feel talked down to like a baby and has great vocabulary and humor that can legitimately help them in school. I recommend this show for 4 and up with supervision,6 and up they can watch alone in my opinion :) Enjoy and remember that friends and family are always important!

My kids love it but I don’t.

The ponies are cute, the stories are fun and my kids love this show. BUT, I agree with the other reviewers that the characters fight and are so nasty to each other that I only let my kids watch 2 or 3 of the many episodes. It’s a shame, it could be a great show, but it encourages bad habits that I’m trying to keep my kids from picking up.

Outstanding show for kids and adults, male and female

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is an absolutely wonderful show that has done so much to break the stereotype that "ponies are only for little girls." If girls can like Transformers or Ninja Turtles, why can't guys like colorful talking ponies? The answer is by creating a show that on the surface looks like a show created for little girls to sell toys but digging deeper is really a very well-written show with brilliantly written stories and something in it for everyone. It follows the adventures of the "Mane 6" characters Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle and their friends. Its songs are cheery and catchy enough to engage kids and is action-packed enough to make things exciting for older viewers. Not to mention pop culture references such as characters from The Big Lebowski and Fargo and jokes that are over the heads of younger ones. There are some things, however that you may want to beware of when your kids are watching this show. In an attempt to appeal to an older audience, the show can be rather edgy. The ponies are sometimes a little bit mean to each other, such as calling one another names, most notably Rainbow Dash, who is arguably the rudest of the bunch and calls Twilight an "egghead" on more than one occasion for her nerdy ways and love of reading. There is also a fair amount of violence in the show, mostly in the show's two-part episodes when the characters are squaring off against villains. Be aware of one episode in particular, entitled "Feeling Pinkie Keen". My least favorite episode of the series by far, it involves the previously mentioned Twilight Sparkle on the brunt end of many accidents which are, in my opinion, rather undeserved and the most brutal of which are suffered when she is just trying to observe the behavior of her friend Pinkie Pie. She is actually shown in a wheelchair and depicted with two broken legs. A little bit much for a show with a TV-Y rating if you ask me. The show can also be rather scary, going back to the two-parters where the show's villains such as King Sombra, Queen Chryssalis and the Changelings, which are scary insect-like creatures that can take the form of any other characters, pony or not, see much of their screentime. And don't get me started on Daybreaker! There is even a region named Tartarus, the Equestrian version of hell. The show is very good on teaching good morals, although on very rare occasions it messes up. The aforementioned "Feeling Pinkie Keen" has a misinterpreted religious moral but nevertheless a moral that suggests you should believe in something even if you don't want to or see reason to. The episode "Over a Barrel" isn't particularly subtle about the touchy subject of the Native Americans and the American settlers who took their land it's clearly referencing, in the episode "Putting Your Hoof Down", the character Fluttershy blames all of her mean behavior on another character, "One Bad Apple" suggests that telling an adult will always be the answer to a child's bullying problem, and in "Ponyville Confidential" the town turns its back on three little girls who not only didn't know any better, but whom they never found out were being manipulated by a third party. All in all, My Little Pony is a show that has rightly gained a massive following of all ages, with older girls being known as "Pegasisters" and older guys, "Bronies" but the show's edginess, with its occasional rudeness, violence, scary characters and not always good morals is something you should be aware of and makes it a show you may want to sit through with your little ones. I am a proud 29 year old Brony for life and my favorite character is Twilight.

Best modern show ever!

And just when we've lost hope in modern cartoons, here comes My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I grew up in the '80s, so I've seen the original. At first I thought "Ugh, it's probably going to be crap like Strawberry Shortcake's reboot". But after a few episodes, I found that this was actually a very good reboot! Yeah, even boys enjoy this.

Declining ratings and poor business decisions.

Over the years Friendship is Magic kept turning out great episodes that made sure children were engaged and kept a community of fanatics guessing on what's to come. We're up to eight full seasons of the show with a lot of episodes that fail to capture the magic of the first four seasons. With new writers constantly being hired and old stories being rewritten, it's no wonder the show has declined in popularity. Not to mention created new commonly used methods of storytelling that are far more nasty and vindictive. The latest trends for these writers is creating episodes of them sniping at criticism that they should be focused on fixing instead of lashing out against us! If you still like the show in its purity, watch the first four seasons.

Absolutely adorable and brilliant!

This show have been praised by boys, girls, kids, teens, parents etc. for å reason : IT'S ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! When I first heard about this generation of mlp I wasn't expecting much, but I got happily surprised when I started to watch it. It has adorable animation, strong female characters, catchy songs and a lots of humour. Even if they're earning a lot of money on then, you can tell that they however care more about the story than the toys, if you know I mean. Now I'm a mlp fan myself! There isn't much more to say than that it's a brilliant family show with something for everyone! Highly recommended!

Went downhill after season 4.

I remember watching the first episode in 2010. I think I was like, around 5? I’m nearly 20 now. It was actually really good! I was a little scared though so I was scared to tell my mom at the time, but I decided to tell her. We watched it together and she actually loved it! Season 1 was super fun and lighthearted! Although.. one episode really freaked me out. I think it’s called Party of one. I don’t recommend watching that if your child is sensitive to topics like insanity. It isn’t like, super scary, but, it was weird. The later seasons got more scarier to be honest. Season 2, from what I can remember didn’t really scare me, expect for when Twilight became a little bit crazy. (again, dealing with topics like insanity. I didn’t understand it at the time though. Still wasn’t as bad as the “Party of one” episode) The last two episodes of season 2 honestly didn’t scare me. I actually liked those episodes the best! I don’t really like some of the ponies behavior. They can be a little bit mean and catty. I just think you should talk to your kids about how its a fictional show and how you might not agree with some of the name calling and insults the ponies use. Explain that words can be very hurtful and to not mimic the characters actions. With that being said, this one episode on season 3 actually still startles me to this day. Its where the little ponies and their big sisters go on a camping trip and one of them tells scary disturbing stories. One of the characters gets scared, but doesn’t wanna seem “uncool” so she doesn’t tell the others the scary stories bother her. She begins having these creepy nightmares about a olden pony with red eyes and who kinda just jump scares. Another dream she had, which is honestly really creepy, is about a headless horse who looks creepy. In the dream, the headless horse was chasing the little pony until one of the princesses made it go away and talked to the little pony about what’s REALLY bothering her. So there obviously is a lesson, but it’s still a creepy episode. I’m surprised I didn’t see a review about it. Season 4 depends on what age/maturity level your child is at. I was a little bit older when the season came out and I wasn’t really that scared of most of it. The first two episodes were a little morbid, but I won’t give any spoilers. I’m sure most of y’all seen it by now since the show has been around for like, 13 or 14 years. The last two episodes of season 4, were a little bit scary. Most of it went right over my head though. Twilight battles a evil demon looking creature named tirek who steals magic/souls from other ponies. But I didn’t really think about the creature stealing souls. I was a kid. But it was a scary and sad episode. I give that an age rating of 8+ or for mature 7 year olds. Season 5 was kinda weird and boring. Thats where it fell off. The last two episodes the main character doesn’t have her friends to help her and I feel like the whole point of the show was for the main character twilight to have her friends. Then the seasons after that were just plain disappointing and boring. Especially season 8 where she opens up a school. The first two opening episodes of that honestly, in my opinion shouldn’t of been two parters since nothing exciting happened. Season 9 I had high hopes for, since it was the final season. It was more of a comedy and the ending felt really rushed. I don’t know. I just wish they would make a season 10 for the story writers to redeem themselves. It was disappointing. But the good thing is, I don’t think anything after season 4 was that scary in my opinion. Although, you do need to watch the earlier seasons to get an understanding of what was going on. But overall, good show. I just wished the ending wasn’t so rushed. ALSOO, don’t look up my little pony videos on youtube or google. There’s this absolutely disgusting fandom and it supports fanmade stuff like pony pornography, ponies eating each other, and lots of blood and gore. I don’t know why you would do that to a show children love and probably look up mlp videos on youtube, but whatever. It just needs to be stopped. Although it probably won’t stop.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

Back in my day, the airwaves were saturated with cheap cartoons made (at least in part) to sell toys. We boys got G.I. Joe and He-Man and Transformers. Girls had it worse: The Saturday-morning animated cartel determined that they would better appreciate, say, The Care Bears, The Smurfs and the original My Little Pony—bits of fluff with lots of innocuous plotting, insanely stereotypical characters, odd musical interludes and enough saccharine to gag a killer whale.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is a lot like that—only good.

This latest My Little Pony incarnation (technically the fourth generation of a long-running toy/entertainment line) is one of pop culture’s unlikeliest success stories. Launched in the fall of 2010 on the little-watched Hub, the Hasbro Studios production featured the exploits of bookish purple unicorn Twilight Sparkle and her Ponyville friends: the cowboy hat-wearing Applejack, bashful-but-kind Fluttershy, gregariously girlie Pinkie Pie, tomboy speedster Rainbow Dash, and über-fashionista Rarity. Its introduction was greeted with a universal nicker from most of the world. I mean, how revolutionary can a 22-minute commercial targeting 6-year-olds be?

Pretty revolutionary, it seems.

My Little Pony quickly became the Hub’s most-watched program, and the audience kept building. By the end of the first season, 4 million people were tuning in. (To compare, the much-vaunted Mad Mens Season Six finale drew 2.7 million viewers—the highest in the show’s history). Viewership has grown even more since then, and it wasn’t just the intended audience—girls between the ages of 3 and 11. It became a raging hit among teen girls and twentysomethings too. Soon we began to hear about “bronies,” young men who never miss an episode. Geek culture was awash in ponies. Mash-ups featuring Twilight Sparkle and her equestrian amigos began proliferating on YouTube. My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic became the most buzzy and blogged-about show this side of The Walking Dead.

Why so successful? The series, it would seem, gives us a paradox: It’s both remarkably hip and utterly guileless, simultaneously self-aware and sincere. Its writers are sharp and witty, offering nods to both the homegrown culture that’s sprung up around the show and non-Ponyville pop culture as a whole. Example: When Weird Al Yankovic lent his voice to a pony recently, bursting into melody, Pinkie Pie asks him, “Did you just steal my song?”

And yet there is not a hint of knowing irony to be found anywhere. It’s as if the land of Equestria does not allow postmodern cynicism to enter its borders. Absolutely no eye-rolling allowed. It’s all very sweet, but not sickeningly so. Nice, but feisty.

No televised phenomenon is without its detractors, of course. Writing for a Ms. Magazine blog, Kathleen Richter began with the headline “My Little Homophobic, Racist, Smart-Shaming Pony,” and then went on to wonder why black ponies were subservient to a white-winged unicorn and argue that Rainbow Dash was intended to give the impression that “all feminists are angry, tomboyish lesbians.”

Admittedly, Rainbow Dash does exhibit a rainbow, now a symbol of the gay movement, but My Little Pony has always featured rainbows, going back all the way to the days of Noah himself. (Besides, creator Lauren Faust directly refuted Richter’s assertions.) My take: The ethos in question informs us that people with different personalities and interests can still be the best of friends. A pretty good message, I’d say.

There is magic, of course. Flying horses and unicorns can make things float or, if they’re in a fix, zap things with magical blasts. Pegasi can alter the weather. Considering the very youngest of viewers for a moment, I should note that the show does feature some kinda scary monsters at times, and that ponies can land in perilous situations. And because the show does try to teach little lessons on occasion, it’s almost guaranteed that a few of them won’t line up exactly with your family’s values.

Overall, though? My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic turns out to be far more than just a half-hour of product placement. Sweet messages and surprising wit coupled with a serious amount of sincerity help this little hoofer soar.

The platform also provides a powerful product management system, allowing retailers to easily add, edit, and organize their products. They can create product categories, set prices, manage inventory, and upload product images. Aparel Magic Shopify also supports multiple product variants, such as different sizes, colors, and styles, making it easy for retailers to offer a wide range of options to their customers.

“Pinkie Pride”

Pinkie Pie’s primacy as the pinnacle party-planner in Ponyville is piqued when a pony named Cheese Sandwich (voiced by Weird Al Yankovic) clops into town. “Be it wingding, hoedown, hootenanny or shindig, I’m your pony,” he says. And he wants to horn in on the process of planning Rainbow Dash’s birthaversary party.

Pinkie feels overshadowed by the flashy Sandwich and wonders whether she should give up party planning altogether. But then she challenges Cheese to a “goof off,” wherein the person who can make Rainbow Dash laugh will be the party’s official headliner.

“And the loser?” Twilight Sparkle asks.

Doesn’t,” Pinkie says, a foreboding chill in her voice.

But after realizing the competition itself is spoiling Rainbow Dash’s party, Pinkie Pie graciously forfeits, and her friends tell her that she’ll always be Ponyville’s best resident party planner. Better yet, Cheese and Pinkie join forces to give Rainbow Dash the best party ever.

“Three’s a Crowd”

Twilight Sparkle is entertaining her visiting sister-in-law, Princess Cadance, and plans for the two of them to spend the day at an exhibit of artifacts from the famed magician Starswirl the Beard. Alas, Discord arrives to make a mess of things: The tellingly named mismatched dragon has what he calls the “Blue Flu” and wants some serious care. “Isn’t that what friends are for?” he asks. “Taking care of each other?”

Twilight and Cadance reluctantly tend to the dragon until he tells them that there is a cure: a flower found at the other end of Equestria. When they find the huge flower and pluck it, a massive worm-beast (tentacles flapping out of its mouth) attacks the ponies. They finally force the worm back into its hole with blasts from their horns.

When they return to Discord, they discover that the dragon made the whole sickness up. “You passed the friendship test!” he says. And while Twilight’s bummed that her day with Cadance was spoiled, Cadance replies, “We may not see each other very often, but I know you’ll always be there when I need you. Just like she was there for you, Discord.”

Oh, Discord sneezes on people and blows into a handkerchief (which then flaps away). He sneezes away a house, revealing a pony standing by a bathtub, her hair wrapped in a towel.

This is a fantastic collection of My Little Pony episodes. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Keys of Friendship is a collection of the best episodes from My little Pony including a sing-along. If you are as big of a fan as I am, you will be very entertained by this collection.

This collection has more than just favorite characters - there are a lot of family matters, some good lessons, a lot of comedy and some pretty thrilling moments as well as great and catchy music.

The episodes show, as usual, the pony friends learning about friendship. However, Twilight, who recently became an alicorn (unicorn and Pegasus) doesn't feel like she is doing enough of her job as a princess. However, she will become more important than ever when an ancient beast comes back from his prison to rain chaos in Equestria! (The country where ponies live.)

I thought this was a very smart choice of episodes since the DVD contains about half of the full season. These episodes really are exciting and, even though some people may not know it, pretty funny and really show some good lessons. For example, in one episode about family, ponies argue a lot but at the end they are still just a family.

My favorite episode is when one of them learns that she is a cousin of another friend. When they realize there may be an error, they go on a road trip to find out the truth. On the way there, the family argues and feels bad that they may look like a dysfunctional family. At the end, they see that even though they argue, they are still a great family. I like it because so many families in real life feel like that and we all need to understand that it happens with everyone. Nobody is perfect.

There is nothing parents should worry about and even infants will like the bright colors of the show and its wonderful sounds. I give this DVD an age rating of one to 18. I also give it 5 out of 5 stars.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Keys to Friendship is an adorable collection of episodes complied on one DVD! While watching the different episodes it reminds me of the fun times my sister and I shared when we were younger watching My Little Pony on television.

This DVD includes four different episodes and each one offers a different friendship lesson. The DVD is filled with beautiful music, great family lessons, a bonus sing along and wonderful comedy!

My favorite character is Rarity; she is a beautiful pony! Rarity and I have some similarities - she likes fashion, enjoys working with her friends and working hard to get the job done - just like me!

My favorite episodes are Twilight Kingdom, Parts 1 and 2 when Twilight has to defeat the evil monster but has to find her own special power! I enjoyed watching the ponies work together to help Twilight discover her special gift.

The message of this series is everyone has a special talent or character trait that makes him or her unique and important. After each episode, one of the ponies does something brave and commendable by putting its friend first. The pony then receives a little object, as a reminder, and it is very useful at the end of the show.

I love the voices of actors, Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball and Andrea Libmar in this DVD Their voices are perfect for their characters.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Keys to Friendship is the perfect show for little girls. I highly recommend this movie for girl's ages 2 to11. They would love this movie! I give it 5 out of 5 shining stars. You can purchase this DVD in stores near you July 29, 2014.

Reviews for "From inventory management to customer engagement: the Shopify apparel magic"

- John Doe - 2/5 stars - The Aparel Magic Shopify app was a huge disappointment for me. The user interface is incredibly clunky and difficult to navigate. It took me forever to figure out how to create a new product listing, and even then, the customization options were limited and not very intuitive. On top of that, the app made my website slow and laggy, causing a terrible user experience for my customers. I would not recommend this app to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly Shopify solution.
- Jane Smith - 1/5 stars - I regret downloading the Aparel Magic Shopify app. It promised to be the perfect tool for managing my online store, but it fell short in so many ways. First of all, the app is riddled with bugs and glitches. It constantly freezes and crashes, making it impossible to get any work done. Secondly, the customer support is non-existent. I reached out multiple times for assistance, but never received a response. Overall, this app was a waste of time and money. Don't make the same mistake I did.
- Mike Johnson - 2/5 stars - Aparel Magic Shopify is not the solution it claims to be. While it does offer some basic features for managing an online store, it lacks the advanced functionality and customization options that I was hoping for. The app's design is outdated and feels clunky to use, especially when compared to other popular Shopify apps on the market. Additionally, I found the pricing to be quite steep for the limited features it offers. I would recommend exploring other options before settling on Aparel Magic Shopify.
