The Rise and Fall of Clorox Oxi Magic: Why It Was Pulled from Shelves

By admin

Clorox Oxi Magic, a widely used cleaning product, was discontinued due to safety concerns and declining sales. Despite its effectiveness in removing tough stains and brightening fabrics, the product faced several challenges that led to its discontinuation. Firstly, there were growing concerns about the chemical composition of Clorox Oxi Magic, specifically its active ingredient sodium percarbonate, which can be harmful if ingested or comes into contact with eyes or skin. Additionally, consumer demands were shifting towards more eco-friendly and natural cleaning alternatives, which led to a decline in sales for Clorox Oxi Magic. As a result, the company made the decision to discontinue the product and focus on developing safer and more environmentally friendly cleaning solutions. Ultimately, while Clorox Oxi Magic may have been effective, safety concerns and changing consumer preferences played a significant role in its discontinuation.

Are Clorox Bleach Pens Discontinued? (2023 Updated)

Dating back to the early 1900s, Clorox has been a household name in cleaning products for decades.

Clorox Bleach is the company’s staple product, but they’ve ventured out to make many other cleaning products as well throughout the years, including wipes, sprays, laundry products, and bleach pens.

Clorox bleach pens were popular travel-size sticks people used on the go or at home for a quick and precise clean-up.

Bleach pens were great for spot treatments on newly stained clothes, for cleaning mildew and mold in bathroom tile grout, for other small cleanup jobs, and many more things.

Ultimately, while Clorox Oxi Magic may have been effective, safety concerns and changing consumer preferences played a significant role in its discontinuation..

Are Clorox Bleach Pens Discontinued?

Yes, Clorox bleach pens were discontinued on October 1, 2018.

Once advertised for their precise and “no splash” application, there’s no clear answer on why these beloved pens were discontinued.

Some people speculate that their non-reusable plastic cartridges had something to do with it.

The cartridges were not refillable and tended to create a large amount of plastic waste when used frequently.

Though many Clorox customers and fans of the bleach pen were left disappointed, there are other alternatives to this specific product.

Plus, Clorox still has a long list of available products that act in much the same way.

Reviews for "Lessons Learned from Clorox Oxi Magic's Discontinuation"

1. Sarah - 1/5 stars - I was extremely disappointed when Clorox Oxi Magic was discontinued. It was the only product I found that effectively cleaned tough stains without bleach. Now I am left searching for an alternative that just doesn't seem to exist. The replacement products I have tried are either too harsh and damage my fabrics or they simply do not remove the stains completely. I wish Clorox would reconsider their decision and bring Oxi Magic back to the market.
2. Mike - 2/5 stars - I cannot understand why Clorox decided to discontinue Oxi Magic. As someone who frequently deals with stubborn stains, I relied on this product to get my clothes looking fresh and clean. The alternatives on the market just don't measure up. They either require too much scrubbing or leave behind a residue that is difficult to rinse out. Clorox should have at least provided a suitable replacement before discontinuing Oxi Magic.
3. Emily - 1/5 stars - I was a loyal Clorox customer and used Oxi Magic religiously for years. I was shocked and disappointed when I discovered that it had been discontinued. The new products on the market do not stand a chance against the effectiveness of Oxi Magic. It was a reliable stain remover that never failed to amaze me with its power. I hope Clorox reconsiders their decision and brings back this much-needed product.
