Magical Creatures or Cursed Beings? Investigating the Mermaid's Curse

By admin

Once a beautiful creature of the sea, the mermaid now dwells in a world of eternal misfortune and despair due to a terrible curse. Legends and tales have been passed down about the curse haunting the mermaid, reminding all who hear them of the tragedy that befell her. The curse was said to have originated from a vengeful sorceress who harbored jealousy and hatred towards the mermaid’s captivating beauty and melodious voice. Enraged by her misplaced envy, the sorceress placed a dreadful curse upon the unsuspecting mermaid, stripping her of her enchanting voice and casting her into a lifetime of solitude and sorrow. The curse haunts the mermaid relentlessly, denying her the joys and comforts of her once-perfect life in the ocean depths. With her voice silenced, she is unable to communicate her desires and thoughts to others, forever condemned to suffer in silence.

The fact that twice people tried to have sex on a stony, cold British beach sends this more into fantasy more than horror.
It's plagued by as cardboardy script and some uneven deliveries..but it is constructed well. with a silent vampirish Mermaid/Siren causing mayhem along the seafront.
UK based Low Budget.
Theres a very despair ridden "1 Week Later" add on right before the end credits. the mood completly destroyed by a weird pop song grafted over the credits

Anyway, this has a decent story and nice atmosphere, but the acting isn t good and some parts of this were so dumb like half the time the siren s mouth wasn t even moving when she was singing. There are sinister beings that walk among us, an ancient secret society of non-human vampiric aquatic beings that are in all walks of life that pull the strings behind human affairs.
