Magic Tree House is a popular children's book series written by Mary Pope Osborne. The sixth book in the series is titled "Magic Tree House: Afternoon on the Amazon." In this adventure, the main characters, Jack and Annie, are whisked away to the Amazon rainforest. The story starts with Jack and Annie finding a mysterious tree house filled with books. They discover that the tree house is magic and can transport them to different places and times. In "Afternoon on the Amazon," the tree house takes them deep into the Amazon rainforest.


There are 2 different page formats. One with lines so students can write their answers directly on the worksheet. The other has no lines so students can write their answers in a notebook. The choice is yours!

The extra activities include sentence writing, word search, true or false activity, vocabulary unscramble secret message, crossword puzzle, and a maze. They leave Peanut in the tree house their mother doesn t like mice and walk through the woods toward their own house, realizing how different the Pennsylvania woods are from the rain forest of the Amazon.

I was really disappointed with Magic Tree House 6. The story seemed repetitive and lacked any real excitement. The characters felt one-dimensional and I struggled to connect with them. Additionally, the plot was predictable and didn't offer anything new or interesting. Overall, I found this installment in the series to be a letdown and it didn't live up to my expectations.

I couldn't wait for it to be over and I have no desire to continue with the series. Save yourself the time and skip this book.
