Review: Dashing Diva Magic Press Nails

I’m not really sure what to say except, have you tried this? If not, you need to!

I’ve always seen these Dashing Diva Magic Press-On Nails at Watsons every time I dropped by to stock up on stuff, but somehow have also always been apprehensive of them. To spend money on press-on nails and not be sure if they would last 2-3 weeks? I’d rather get an express gel manicure done for $18 at Far East Plaza.

But then I saw them on Shopee and said, “Screw this, let’s try it.” And so here I am, a couple of sets later and I’m a convert.

Not only are these fake nails so pretty, they also:

  • come in a variety of colours, textures and designs
  • come in different lengths
  • have a slim fit version for thinner nails
  • last for weeks
  • are very sturdy

These have lasted hair washes, doing the dishes, bathing the baby and more. A note though on washing my hair with these on is that my hair can get caught beneath the fake nails, or between the nail and crystals that are stuck on. It’s slightly annoying but since I don’t wash my hair every day, I’ll close an eye on that.

You can see my other Labien Tweed set in my 3-month postpartum blog post here.

Love the spring lavender colour of these ones! 18k Gold Huggies from Trouvée.Co.

When removing the nails, you’ll need to use acetone or maximum strength nail polish remover, and ensure that it gets beneath the fake nails. I tried it with normal nail polish remover and it took me an hour to do that. These aren’t as damaging to my real nails as gel manicures are, so I would go back to them again and again. They are so easy to put on and last for so long – I’m really surprised by this! Just make sure you avoid water for 30min after applying them.

I definitely recommend these. If you aren’t a fan of having long nails, get the short ones – you’ll probably keep them on for longer too. See all the retailers on Shopee or shop directly from the Dashing Diva Official Shopee store.

Another great thing about magic press on nails is that they are reusable. Once you remove them, you can clean them and store them for future use. This not only saves you money but also reduces waste, making them an eco-friendly option. Magic press on nails are also a great solution for those with weak or damaged nails. They provide an extra layer of protection and can help to strengthen your natural nails over time. In conclusion, magic press on nails are a convenient and affordable way to have beautiful, salon-worthy nails at home. They are easy to apply, require no drying time, and can be reused multiple times. Whether you want a natural look or a bold and colorful design, there is sure to be a magic press on nail set that suits your style..

Reviews for "Tips for Creating Unique Nail Art with Magic Press On Nails"

1. Jennifer - 2 stars: I was really disappointed with the Magic press on nails. Firstly, they were difficult to apply and didn't stick well to my natural nails, even after following the instructions carefully. Secondly, the design on the nails looked cheap and tacky. They didn't have the same glossy finish as shown in the pictures. Overall, I would not recommend these nails as they were a waste of money and time.
2. Sarah - 1 star: I bought the Magic press on nails hoping for a quick and convenient solution for a special event, but I was sorely disappointed. The nails started falling off within an hour of application, despite not doing any strenuous activities or getting them wet. They were also very uncomfortable and felt heavy on my natural nails. Additionally, the nail sizes were limited and didn't fit well, leaving gaps and uneven edges. Save your money and opt for professional salon nails instead.
3. Mike - 2 stars: As a guy who loves experimenting with his style, I decided to give the Magic press on nails a try. Unfortunately, they didn't live up to my expectations. The adhesive on the nails was weak and couldn't withstand basic tasks like typing on a keyboard or opening a soda can. The nails also felt unnatural and hindered my daily activities. After only a couple of hours, they started peeling off, leaving an awkward half-done manicure. I wouldn't recommend these nails, especially to anyone seeking a long-lasting and durable solution.
