The Bell Witch Haunting is a well-known paranormal case that took place in Adams, Tennessee, during the early 19th century. It centers around the Bell family, who experienced years of supernatural disturbances, mainly attributed to a malicious entity known as the "Bell Witch." The haunting began in 1818 when John Bell, his wife Lucy, and their children began hearing strange noises in their home. They would often hear knocking on the doors and walls, as well as scratching sounds. Additionally, they would witness objects moving or disappearing and hear the sounds of whispering voices. These occurrences intensified over time, leaving the family unable to explain or rationalize the events.

Featuring D'Angelo Midili, Eric Riedmann, Lisa Coronado, Natasha Sims, Philipp Aurand, and Tucker Boggio, this thriller was released to film festivals in 2011 and was written and directed by Ben Pohl. Divination is an independent film that finally received a DVD release back in October of 2015. It has a runtime of 99 minutes.

The entity, believed to be the spirit of a former neighbor, Kate Batts, began to communicate with the family. It displayed a peculiar ability to have conversations, answering questions and predicting future events.
