Impending Doom 4th Curse?

To get to the bottom of this I disabled Despair & Enfeeble alternately
and got +30% full DPS each as a result.
Why do i get more DPS by disabling a curse?

Spoiler
This is my Setup with Temporal Chains in Body Armour.

I read that the first Curse in Vixxen is not applied.
So why do i need it, when disabling gives me more DPS?
And would it be applied with Windscream?

Every curse on the enemy counts towards your curse limit, including curses others have applied. Since you are the only one there, every curse you directly or indirectly apply counts toward the limit. You have 4 curses but only a limit of 3, so PoB is probably overriding your Temporal Chains on the enemy.

Sounds right.
But i copied my build from PoENinja & 99% run exactly this curse setup.
Not a single one is using Windscream nor saw i ever a build with a 4th Curse limit.

So either theyre doing it all wrong (which i dont believe),
or i am the first to find this mistake (which i dont believe either).

Also in that Link:
The first curse in your vixens will NOT be applied when you deal damage, all your other curses will be.

So why does Windscream gives me +26% DPS, when it is true that
1. i need one more curse than curse limit
2. the first Vixen Curse is not applied

on Oct 11, 2023, 4:56:51 PM Because PoB doesn't understand that build. That's why. Posted by

Can you explain why this skill needs a Curse in the gloves that does not apply by design?
If i remove it my damage is done.

Because the build requires you to force a curse to drop off to rapidly activate Impending Doom.

Rather than waiting for Temporal Chains to naturally expire, you're forcing it to expire by applying curses over your curse limit.

Echoing Temjin, PoB doesn't understand the build. But it does give you the info to see how it's not understanding the build.

Look in the calculations tab for Doom Blast's Effective DPS. It lists buffs/debuffs it's including in the calculation, which includes the curses it believes the monster will be under. Pulling up an old PoB I used a few leagues ago, it didn't include "Despair" as one of those curses.

The first curse in Vixen's not applying is because the curses in Vixens come out faster than the manually cast curse. So each cast (not accounting for overlapping cascades) inflicts Punishment first, then (in some order) Despair, Enfeeble, Temporal Chains.

When applying a new curse while at the curse limit, you remove the oldest active curse. So when you apply curses again, either with cascade overlap or casting again, you replace the curses in order. Based on the order above: Punishment replaces Despair, then Despair replaces Enfeeble, then Enfeeble replaces Temporal Chains (activating Doom Blast), then Temporal Chains replaces Punishment.

I read that the first Curse in Vixxen is not applied.
So why do i need it, when disabling gives me more DPS?

1. John - 2 stars - I was not happy with the contact details provided for magic tilt trailers. Firstly, the phone number listed was outdated and no longer in service. Secondly, the email address provided didn't seem to be working either. I tried reaching out to the company multiple times and received no response. It was frustrating and a waste of my time. I expected better customer service and updated contact information for a reputable company.
2. Sarah - 1 star - I had a horrible experience trying to get in touch with magic tilt trailers. The website stated they had a live chat option for customer support, but every time I tried to connect, it was always offline. I also sent them an email, but never received a response. It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I ended up going with another trailer company that was much more responsive and helpful. I would not recommend magic tilt trailers based on their lack of communication and customer service.
3. Mike - 2 stars - The contact details provided for magic tilt trailers were unreliable. The website listed a physical address, but when I visited the location, it was a vacant lot. I tried calling the phone number provided, but it just rang continuously with no answer or voicemail. I even checked their social media pages for updated contact information, but found nothing. It seems like they have completely disappeared. This lack of availability and transparency is concerning and I would caution others against doing business with them.
4. Emily - 3 stars - The contact details for magic tilt trailers were not the easiest to find. After searching their website, I finally found a contact form to fill out, but there was no guarantee of a response. I submitted my inquiry and waited for a few days, but still didn't hear anything back. It would have been much more convenient to have a phone number or email address readily available. The lack of responsiveness made me question their commitment to customer service.
5. David - 2 stars - I tried to contact magic tilt trailers through the phone number provided on their website, but it was constantly busy or out of service. I even left a voicemail, but never received a callback. Additionally, the email address listed bounced back my message as undeliverable. It was incredibly frustrating trying to get in touch with them and I ended up going with a different trailer company instead. Their lack of reliable contact details reflects poorly on their business.
