Midship staterooms on the lowest passenger deck are the most excellent spot to be on a cruise ship in this instance because you don t feel the vessel sway as much. As on any cruise, there are a few rooms to avoid on Carnival Magic namely those on Decks 2, 6 and 9, as they re directly above or below public areas that get lots of noise of foot traffic think pools, the theater, the promenade, or the main dining room.

1. Sally - 2 stars - I was extremely disappointed with the Carnival Magic rooms with balcony. The balcony itself was dirty and covered in rust, making it impossible to enjoy the supposed "view." The room itself was cramped and outdated, with uncomfortable beds and stained carpets. The bathroom was in desperate need of renovation and was not properly cleaned upon our arrival. Overall, the room ruined our cruising experience and I would not recommend it.
2. John - 1 star - My family and I booked a Carnival Magic room with balcony for our vacation and it was a huge mistake. The room was incredibly small, barely enough space for two people to move around comfortably. The balcony was in poor condition, with broken furniture and peeling paint. The noise from the neighboring cabins was also unbearable, making it impossible to relax in our room. I expected much more from a supposedly premium accommodation and was thoroughly disappointed.
