Review: Dashing Diva Magic Press Nails

I’m not really sure what to say except, have you tried this? If not, you need to!

I’ve always seen these Dashing Diva Magic Press-On Nails at Watsons every time I dropped by to stock up on stuff, but somehow have also always been apprehensive of them. To spend money on press-on nails and not be sure if they would last 2-3 weeks? I’d rather get an express gel manicure done for $18 at Far East Plaza.

But then I saw them on Shopee and said, “Screw this, let’s try it.” And so here I am, a couple of sets later and I’m a convert.

Not only are these fake nails so pretty, they also:

  • come in a variety of colours, textures and designs
  • come in different lengths
  • have a slim fit version for thinner nails
  • last for weeks
  • are very sturdy

These have lasted hair washes, doing the dishes, bathing the baby and more. A note though on washing my hair with these on is that my hair can get caught beneath the fake nails, or between the nail and crystals that are stuck on. It’s slightly annoying but since I don’t wash my hair every day, I’ll close an eye on that.

You can see my other Labien Tweed set in my 3-month postpartum blog post here.

Love the spring lavender colour of these ones! 18k Gold Huggies from Trouvée.Co.

When removing the nails, you’ll need to use acetone or maximum strength nail polish remover, and ensure that it gets beneath the fake nails. I tried it with normal nail polish remover and it took me an hour to do that. These aren’t as damaging to my real nails as gel manicures are, so I would go back to them again and again. They are so easy to put on and last for so long – I’m really surprised by this! Just make sure you avoid water for 30min after applying them.

I definitely recommend these. If you aren’t a fan of having long nails, get the short ones – you’ll probably keep them on for longer too. See all the retailers on Shopee or shop directly from the Dashing Diva Official Shopee store.

Reviews for "Immersed in Sound: An Inside Look into Bassnectar's Magical World"

1. Sarah - 1/5 - I was really disappointed with Bassnectar's Magical World. The production quality was subpar, with muddy and distorted sound throughout the entire album. It was difficult to make out the individual elements of each track, and it just felt like noise rather than music. The lyrics were also lacking depth and substance, often resorting to cliched and repetitive phrases. I had high expectations for this album, but unfortunately, it fell short in every aspect.
2. James - 2/5 - Bassnectar's Magical World didn't resonate with me at all. The tracks felt repetitive and lacked any real uniqueness or creativity. It seemed like the artist relied heavily on generic EDM formulas without bringing anything fresh or innovative to the table. The melodies and beats were forgettable, and overall, the album failed to make a lasting impression. I was left feeling unimpressed and underwhelmed by the whole experience.
3. Emily - 2/5 - I struggled to connect with Bassnectar's Magical World. The album felt disjointed, with a lack of flow between tracks. It seemed like a random collection of songs rather than a cohesive body of work. The mixing was also problematic, as some tracks were too loud while others were barely audible. The album lacked the emotional depth and atmosphere that I usually associate with Bassnectar's music. Overall, it was a disappointing release and not one that I would recommend to others.
4. Alex - 1/5 - I found Bassnectar's Magical World to be a complete letdown. The songs lacked complexity and depth, often feeling formulaic and predictable. It seemed like the artist was just going through the motions, delivering a product that was uninspired and, quite frankly, boring. The album failed to capture my attention or evoke any sort of emotional response. I was expecting a magical experience, but instead, it felt like a wasted opportunity. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this album again.
