Will it be anything like the MtG: AotP boardgame? Probably not, as it is most likely be Wizard's attempt to make a MMORPG to compete with Blizzard's WoW, just like Blizzard made Hearthstone to compete with the MtG card game. But we can hope it will be more "turn-based" to feel more like the boardgame.

Do you play much of the card game? I have a feeling Arena will be in the MtG universe but with basically zero resemblance to another game in the MtG universe. Sort of like how Hearthstone has nothing to do with Warcraft or WoW besides the characters/lore.
