The next pagan holiday is Imbolc, also known as Candlemas or Brigid's Day. Imbolc falls on February 1st or 2nd and marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It is a time to celebrate the returning light and the first signs of spring. Brigid, the Celtic goddess of fire, poetry, and healing, is honored during this time. Imbolc is traditionally associated with purification, new beginnings, and fertility. It is a time for rituals and ceremonies to welcome the coming spring and invoke Brigid's blessings.

GrrrrrSo she had me soak my feet in the warm water bath and once they were done soaking she proceeded to take what looks like a dish brush and start grinding away on the skin on my feet. Got a manicure the Friday before going on vacation and on Tuesday after going swimming in the ocean my nails felt like they had a tacky film on them.
It is a time for rituals and ceremonies to welcome the coming spring and invoke Brigid's blessings. Many pagans celebrate Imbolc by lighting candles, making corn dollies or Brigid's crosses, and performing divination rituals. It is a time of hope and anticipation as winter slowly gives way to the promise of new life and growth.

Terrible experience and service. I had gone in for a gel manicure. The woman was not only very slow paced, but did a terrible job on my nails. When I asked her to make them a little shorter, she made some nails very short, down as short as they can go, and some to the end of my finger. She had left me with two cuts, one so bad that it bled for 15 minutes. The gel polish comes off of my nail, onto my skin and cuticle. When I had called back and asked for my money back, the owner told me no, then my boyfriend had taken the phone, and tried to reason with him. He had hung up on my boyfriend, and was extremely rude when we called back. The woman seemed to be very inexperienced, and seemed to have no formal training. Will never go back. Read Less

Got a manicure the Friday before going on vacation and on Tuesday after going swimming in the ocean my nails felt like they had a tacky film on them. The film actually looked like dirt on the nail polish, by Thursday I was removing the nail polish from my nails. Removing the nail polish was another whole issue, the nail polish did not come off the nails as easy with the remover as it should have. I don't know what kind of polish that they used but I have never had this happened to my nails before, so needless to say that this is my last visit for a manicure to this salon. Read Less
Sheena Skeean 12 Jan 2018 REPORT Absolutely love this place. They are so nice Arynne Palmisciano 19 Aug 2017 REPORTToo many technicians working on multiple people. There should only be one technician doing a person's nails at a time, not 3 or 4. Won't be going back.

I've been to a few places for Manis and Pedis. The place I normally go to was booked for a couple hours so I decided to try this place which is kind of close by.I was greeted by a lovely gentleman and I had to sit for maybe 15 minutes before it was my turn. I explained to the woman who was going to perform Magic that I had a couple broken toes LOL from a trip that I took to visit my dad in Texas. I broke my toe on his golf cart getting in. I couldn't have my toes fixed because we were out in the middle of nowhere. So they are still broken to this day. I have lovely toes from this. GrrrrrSo she had me soak my feet in the warm water bath and once they were done soaking she proceeded to take what looks like a dish brush and start grinding away on the skin on my feet. Maybe she thought I was enjoying the feel of it cause my face maybe looked animated, (pain), but honestly I was kind of cringing because it didn't feel that good.So after this I had the color put on. My usual place dips your hands in paraffin wax and also gives a nice back massage. All for the same price.Nice pleasant people, but I'll stick to my usual location. Read Less

Amazing job! My friend and I went for pedicures as walk-ins and although it was busy, we were immediately helped. The people were very nice and most importantly clean. They used sterilized tools and washed everything immediately after my pedicure was complete. The price was on our with most other places but I feel like the job was 10x better than most. When they say a spa pedicure they mean it, everything from the scrubs to the massage. They are also neat with the polish which is also nice. I have been looking for a new go-to nail salon and I believe I just found it! Read Less

Reviews for "Creating meaningful traditions: How to celebrate the next pagan holiday"
1. Sarah - 1/5 rating - This book was a disappointment. I was expecting a comprehensive guide to pagan holidays, but instead, I found this book to be overly simplistic and lacking in depth. The author barely scratches the surface of each holiday and fails to provide any meaningful insights or guidance. I could have easily found the same information with a quick internet search. Overall, I would not recommend "What is the next pagan holiday" to anyone looking for a thorough exploration of pagan holidays.
2. Michael - 2/5 rating - I was intrigued by the title of this book, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. While the author briefly explains the basic concept of pagan holidays, there is a distinct lack of depth and substance in their exploration. The book feels rushed and fails to provide any substantive information or unique perspectives. Additionally, the writing style is poorly executed, making it difficult to follow and understand. Overall, I found "What is the next pagan holiday" to be a missed opportunity for a comprehensive examination of pagan holidays.
3. Emily - 2/5 rating - As someone who is relatively new to paganism, I was hoping this book would serve as a helpful introduction to pagan holidays. However, I was left feeling underwhelmed and unsatisfied. The author's explanations of each holiday were brief and superficial, offering little guidance or insight. The lack of depth and nuance made it difficult to truly understand the significance and practices associated with each holiday. Furthermore, the book lacks organization and structure, making it difficult to navigate and absorb the information. Overall, I would suggest exploring other resources before considering "What is the next pagan holiday."
