Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is an action-adventure platform video game developed and published by WayForward Technologies. It is the third installment in the Shantae series and was released in 2014 for various gaming platforms. The game follows the story of Shantae, a half-genie who must team up with her rival, Risky Boots, to save Sequin Land from a curse. In this game, Shantae loses her genie powers and must rely on various pirate-themed abilities to progress through the game. The gameplay combines exploration, platforming, and combat elements.
