Talis is even dressed up as dead Fox when she delivers Fox’s message to Jeremy. The connection becomes complete later, when both Elizabeth and Talis are explicitly Fox actors in Jeremy’s dream.

Which is fairly typical of my reactions to a lot of Link s writing--I like most of her stuff, and I can see that her stories are sophisticated, with a hell of a lot going on under the surface. Jeremy is the star of his own television show, this one a naturalistic family drama about a kid dealing with such prosaic issues as an imperious best friend, two girls who might be interested in him, and his parents imperiled marriage.
