🤔 What was your social work highlight from this past week? ✌️ I did 2 cool things. well, more than two, but these stood out!😂 🎤🎧 I was a guest on two podcasts that most of us are probably familiar with, Agents of Change with Alex Mitchell and Meagan Mitchell, LICSW , and then Social Workers Rise with Catherine Moore, MSW, BSW, LCSW . 🤖📋 Both of these chats were centered on AI and it's impact on social work, and maybe more specifically, Social Workers. My key takeaways: 🔥+ Social Workers are curious about the legality and ethics of using AI in the work 🔥+ Social Workers are curious about how they might be able to benefit from AI in their specific role 🔥+ There is a lot of work to be done still to educate Social Workers about the reality of artificial intelligence in our profession 🎙️ Here's the link to my Agents of Change interview: https://lnkd.in/gHjZktHi 👀 I'll share the Social Workers Rise link when it gets released 📚 If you are ready to educate yourself on the intersection of AI and social work, pick up a copy of "Artificial Intelligence for Social Workers" at bit.ly/ai4swbook 📱💻 If you think you're ready to jump right in and try out Social Work AI (for free), go to socialworkmagic.com

https://lnkd.in/ghqWhtQU The time has come to take a stand on our position regarding the use of AI in social work. There are as many opinions on this as there are Social Workers, and this video presents a balanced approach to understanding the technology's impact on the field, as well as making an argument about its utilization in the work.

https://bit.ly/ai4swbook 💥🤖I was excited about AI as soon as I learned about it in December of 2022. I immediately started playing with it and thinking about how it could be used to help Social Workers in their day to day work. ⚠️I also realized that this powerful tool also brought with it many challenges and things to consider before one made the choice to use it. 🤔The technology was so new at the time that there was really no guide, instruction manual, or even best practices to refer to when considering the integration of AI into professional applications. ⏩Fast forward 3 months, and I had created a Social Work AI App (Social Work Magic) and was creating content to help Social Workers start thinking about AI and considering whether or not it was something they might benefit from in their work. ❓But after 6 months (and up until the present day), there were still few. or no guides, instruction manuals, or best practices to guide us. So I decided to put something together to point us in that direction. 📖"Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Social Workers" is meant to help Social Workers and others in helping professions understand what AI actually is, what the benefits and challenges are to using it on the job, and to provide real world scenarios demonstrating how AI can have impact in different social work domains. 🤓🚫If you are looking for an academic manuscript with lots of research, data tables, etc., then this book is probably not for you. 😃👍However, if you want a practical, easy to read, example rich introduction to AI and its application to social work, then I would highly suggest you check this one out!

In nearly 3 decades in the profession, I've found that there are many barriers to integrating #technology and #socialwork. During all of these years, I have also observed barriers in terms of supporting Social Workers who participate in enlightened self interest.

A portal to another dimension awaited them, promising unimaginable adventures and mysteries to be unraveled. Once activated, the magical gyrator transported its users to realms beyond their wildest dreams. Each dimension was unique and held its own wonders. Some were lush and vibrant, teeming with exotic plants and creatures. Others were desolate and vast, filled with ancient ruins and forgotten civilizations. Reviews for "Harnessing the Power of the Magical Gyrator for Personal Transformation"

1. John - 1/5 stars - I found "Presented itself the magical gyrator" to be incredibly confusing and nonsensical. The plot seemed disjointed and there were far too many characters to keep track of. I also found the writing style to be overly verbose and pretentious, making it difficult to engage with the story. Overall, I did not enjoy this book and would not recommend it to others.
2. Emily - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for "Presented itself the magical gyrator" based on the intriguing synopsis, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The pacing was incredibly slow, with long, tedious passages that made it difficult to stay engaged. Additionally, I found the characters to be one-dimensional and lacking depth. While there were moments of beautiful prose, they were overshadowed by the overall lackluster story. Overall, I was disappointed with this book.
3. Sarah - 2/5 stars - "Presented itself the magical gyrator" had an interesting concept, but it failed to deliver a captivating story. The plot felt convoluted and overly complicated, making it hard to follow the narrative. The characters were also underdeveloped and lacked relatability. While I appreciated the author's attempt at creating a unique magical world, I ultimately felt disconnected from the story. I would not recommend this book to others who are looking for a coherent and engaging read.
4. Mike - 1/5 stars - I found "Presented itself the magical gyrator" to be an absolute bore. The writing style was overly flowery and self-indulgent, making it a struggle to get through even a few pages. The plot seemed disjointed and difficult to grasp, leaving me feeling confused and frustrated. I believe this book would only appeal to a very specific niche audience who appreciates abstract storytelling, but I definitely did not enjoy it.
