You have to leave both Protazoans up for 24 hours and one will change into Leech King, and if you leave Leech King up for 24 hours, it will change into Argus. Best bet to get ToD is to have a day with nothing to do, put your TV or comp next to your FFXI viewing screen, watch videos movies listen to music blah blah while widescanning every 20 or less secs can be killed by some jobs very quick so scan often.

The deck is divided into two main sections: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards that represent significant archetypes and powerful forces from other realms. These cards are considered the core of the deck and are the most influential in divination readings.

Calling All Experienced Argus Campers!

I figured it was finally time to put some of my moogle staring time to good use and camp some NMs I need with particularly long/ridiculous spawn timers and conditions.

My question to everyone is, what is your approach to camping Argus? Do you sit in the room and wait for a ToD? Is there a pattern to the protozoan slime that sometimes remains stationary in the hut or roams around the room? Do you tend to see Argus pop in the small room, hallway or big room more often?

I've been sitting in the room with off and on afk for almost 2 days now to no avail yet. Perhaps someone killed it out of chat log range or Leech King spawned, but I'm starting to feel like this damn NM is a myth. Feel free to give suggestions or strategies.

Well at the moment I don't have any competition which is nice. Bad part is, God knows when it'll pop. I've never actually seen it pop before, so does it tend to pop in the small room with the two ancient bats or does it tend to pop in the big room with the gobs and scorps the most?

Bahamut.Cyr Offline Server: Bahamut Game: FFXI user: Cyr Posts: 148 By Bahamut.Cyr 2009-03-08 17:25:57 It'll pop anywhere from teh ancient bats all the way to the end of the scorpion room. best way to get ToD is to park yourself in Leech King's room, since from my experience LK pops more often and only in one area. as for claiming, Wide Scan definitely helps with its large spawn area, so if you have a quick claim for your main job, go /RNG, and if not, go /BST for charm. it seems that one of the two can spawn at any random time during the window, so a bit of patience and luck is involved. i'm currently 0/1 on Argus and 0/8 on Leech King >.< don't count on getting lucky like Cyr, but rest assured that if you can successfully camp Argus, you can camp pretty much anything else no problem.

Okay as a person who has camped this guy about 20+ times here are my experiences.

Pop window for LK and Argus is about 18-36 hours. Widescan is a must either use /RNG or /BST, if you don't want to camp it in vain. One of the best/most used spots to get ToD is in the entrance to the hallway to the Iron Door room (SE corner of J-8). People like myself will move the NM to kill in another spot just so you won't get ToD so be wary. Best bet to get ToD is to have a day with nothing to do, put your TV or comp next to your FFXI viewing screen, watch videos/ movies/ listen to music blah blah while widescanning every 20 or less secs (can be killed by some jobs very quick so scan often.) I prefer to camp with one friend in SE J-8 and myself in LK room. If you are tired of camping get a group of friends/LS buddies and take turns and pass ToD so all your efforts are not in vain. If you want to make a little gil on the side Kill the gobs/scorpions/and slime in the areas while widescanning.

To level some crafts while in the area use scorpion claw + bone chip (skellies in LK room) and wind crystal to make Scorpion arrowheads (bone cap 53) or Scorpion Claw x 2 + lightning crystal for Venom Dust (alchemy cap 61) or Scorpion shell x 1 and wind crystal to make scorpion ring (bone cap 60)

Bring Lightning Crystals and Wind Crystals for synths and Desynths of goblin drops is recommended. Don't forget to steal Silver Beastcoins from mobs and mug them.

Thief/rng pwns this area I'm 2/3 on Argus when drop was still Peacock Charm and 1/7 on it when it is Peacock Amulet. Leech King im about 2/9 i think. Good luck and happy hunting =^.~=

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll sub BST next time so I got a quick claim method and some wide-scan to see if it pops somewhere outside of my viewing range. Looks like some competition showed up =/ If this fails i'll just have to take NIN to 40 and go nuts on Under Observation lol.

When i camped argus i went 3/4..Icamped it with a friend and he used an alt char to sit in LK room incase he poped from camping it argus spawned way more than lk in the two week period and for where it spawns it is random from the iron door in the back to the exit of the scorp room since it was me and my friend there i usually went thf/war for claim but widescan would be best if solo gl on hunting

Did this thing for like 2 weeks straight for like 9-12hrs a day. At times I killed all the BLM goblins til they spawned as another job - then turned my volume up loud and napped til Blaze Spikes sound woke me up. Got Argus 2x this way, with Blaze Spikes waking me up.

I parked my RNG75/THF37 in the room with the two bats, in the back. At times when I was allowed during those weeks, I took my sister's 57WHM and parked it in the room with the protozoan.

After awhile, I started to go crazy and come up with some random, unfounded pop conditions. Once I got ToD, I believed Argus pops in 30min windows, whereas LK can pop anytime during the open window. The protozoan must be dead for Argus to spawn. I don't remember if this theory held true, but it made camping a little more bearable, just checking for 5min windows every 30min then taking a 20min nap. One of the spawns I ran my ranger to the Protozoan about 2min before 'ToD window' and killed it, then ran back to my room, where the hecteyes *** was just sittin there. No Drop then, but you have no idea how great it is to claim that thing after sitting for 8hrs doing nothing but listening to wind and bats flapping. I kept widescanning for LK and discreetly killing it when I saw it up, recording ToD, then going back to my room without the ppl who were also semi-afk also camping against me. without widescan.

The competition was poor at best, I lost claim 3 times during those two weeks, this JP or EU ninja botted the ***out of that thing 3 nights in a row and got drop on third night. That was unnerving. Otherwise, I got it every day/night. 1/6 argus 1/7 leech king on drops.

The above can all be disregarded as unfounded rantings by a sleep-deprived Amulet owner.

P.S.: I did nyzul isle with this mithra *** who quartermastered herself a peacock amulet after we were done with our runs. I already had it, but I was surprized as hell when I actually saw it in the drop pool. If you diligently do Nyzul just for Argus, you might get the amulet faster this way.

Ok i am currently down in the Maze of Shakrami, roughly over a year ago i camped Argus for 2 weeks straight trying to get my Peacock Amulet, mostly just because i would not give up until i got it, i just come down here to fight the Lost Soul NM for my Corsair AF weapon and i noticed what i believe is a change in the area.

1. Sarah - 2 out of 5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Otherworldly sorcery divination deck. The artwork was beautiful, but the interpretations of the cards were confusing and vague. The guidebook didn't provide much help either, and I found myself having to rely on outside sources to understand the meanings. It felt like the deck was more focused on aesthetics rather than actual divination. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is serious about using tarot cards for guidance.
2. Jason - 1 out of 5 stars - As someone who is well-versed in tarot readings, I was extremely disappointed with the Otherworldly sorcery divination deck. The cards lacked depth and the interpretations were lacking substance. It seemed like the deck was more interested in presenting pretty images rather than providing accurate and insightful readings. The guidebook was also poorly organized and left me confused about how to interpret the cards. I would definitely not recommend this deck to anyone looking for a genuine and meaningful tarot experience.
3. Emily - 3 out of 5 stars - While the artwork of the Otherworldly sorcery divination deck was stunning, I found that the deck itself lacked consistency and depth. The interpretations of the cards often felt ambiguous and left me with more questions than answers. The accompanying guidebook didn't provide much clarity either. While some may appreciate the deck purely for its aesthetic value, I was personally looking for a more reliable and insightful tool for divination.
4. Mark - 2 out of 5 stars - I found the Otherworldly sorcery divination deck to be quite disappointing. The images on the cards were beautiful, but I found that the interpretations were too vague and lacked practical application.
