Ever witnessed the excitement of parents picking the name of their awaited baby. Why is it so intense and involves so much feelings and emotions ? Our names are born with us, but stay forever; after we die, they remain to preserve the legacy of what we have planted in this world.

I replaced my TV for free, problem solved

This is the reason why the first meeting with a customer should only be a "meet and greet". You should not attempt a sale on the first meeting. Build a solid relationship with your customer, penetrate his comfort zone, then make a deal. Do it by recognizing his Name.

Even when you receive calls, "Hello Sir, this is Maria speaking from . ", elaborate on the name, make it weigh to them and to you too.
Name-tags are not only made for complaints. Most people use them to report employees, after they, customers themselves, misbehaved.
