1. Chris - 2 stars - I found the main protagonist of A Certain Magical Index to be incredibly bland and uninteresting. His personality lacked depth and he felt like a generic, cookie-cutter character. Additionally, his actions and decisions throughout the series often left me frustrated and questioning his intelligence. Overall, I found it difficult to connect with the protagonist and as a result, it negatively impacted my enjoyment of the show.
2. Sarah - 3 stars - While I didn't hate the main protagonist of A Certain Magical Index, I found him to be rather one-dimensional. He lacked the complexity and development that I look for in a main character. I couldn't help but feel that his story arc was overshadowed by the supporting characters who had much more interesting and engaging personalities. I wished for more depth and growth from the protagonist, but unfortunately, it was lacking.
3. Mike - 2.5 stars - The main protagonist of A Certain Magical Index was a major letdown for me. He felt like a typical "chosen one" archetype, with very little uniqueness or originality. His interactions with other characters often felt forced and his dialogue was often cheesy and predictable. I was hoping for a more relatable and well-rounded protagonist, but unfortunately, he fell short of my expectations.
