Asked by АнонимWell, I would like to write a short fic explaining some of the detail in Amaterasu’s backstory at some point, but here’s a basic rundown of what she’s all about.
She is a Half-Oni who has lived with her mother for most of her life, while her father would only visit her a couple of times a year. But weeks before she starts attending Luna Nova, she is kidnapped and brought to be a sacrifice to The Sorcerer, but when he learns that she will become a Luna Nova student, he conditions her to become his sleeper agent, in hopes that she will capture the Shiny Rod and bring it to him. She attends Luna Nova with initially no recollection of The Sorcerer due to a spell he used on her to implant fake memories in her mind.
The student body sees Amaterasu as the most peaceful and respecting person on Cyan Team, in comparison to the cold and mysterious Yarrow and the elitist and bitchy Gabija. She enjoys quietly studying, drinking tea, and helping others. Upon meeting Seraphine and learning about how distant she is with others, she determines to become a good friend and possible rival to her. But the conditioning from the Sorcerer puts her in a dangerous position, especially when Seraphine becomes the next wielder of the Shiny Rod.
As for how she feels about her teammates, she tries her best to only see the good in them and appreciates them very much. She works with Gabija to try and be a bit kinder to other students, as difficult as that might sound, and studies with her whenever she needs help. With Yarrow, she sees more of the kinder side of her and admires her talents greatly, especially when Yarrow begins helping her slightly suppress The Sorcerer’s influence and prevent Ama from fully succumbing to his power. The two become closer than friends as time goes on, but take a long time before making their relationship public knowledge, along with Gabija making sure their secret is kept off the school rumor mill.
During the few times Ama does lose control of herself however, she transforms into her Oni form, which drastically changes her body and magic. With demon blood running through her, her power and strength increase at the cost of her mentality and morality. Nothing will stop her from achieving her captor’s goal and she will try to rid of anyone who gets in her way. With enough magic, emotional influence from friends, or fighting off the influence from within her mind, Ama can revert back to normal but will need a while for body and magic to recover.

Additionally, the noise level was unbearable, with thin walls that allowed every sound from neighboring rooms to be heard.
