Being that 2020 was the year of staying at home, it seemed like the perfect time to invest in something like this. Clearly, I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. The project was backed by 62,000 people. In total, over $3.4 million was raised to fund the creation of these puzzles! I am not a puzzler. In fact, I’ve never sat down to do a full puzzle, much less a 1,000-piece one. But everything about this project, from the name of the company, and the thoughtful details that indicated that this was not your average puzzle, intrigued me.
They witness the construction of pyramids, the mummification process, and even meet some of the famous historical figures like Queen Hatshepsut. As the story progresses, Jack and Annie gain clues and solve puzzles that lead them closer to the missing book. They learn about the importance of teamwork, courage, and the power of knowledge. Eventually, they find the Book of the Dead and help the ghost queen find peace. "Mummies in the Morning" is not only an exciting adventure filled with mystery and suspense, but it also educates young readers about ancient Egypt. The book provides a glimpse into the rich history and culture of this fascinating civilization. It sparks curiosity and encourages children to explore more about this time period.
