Magic and Twitter may seem like an unlikely pairing, but the world of social media has opened up new avenues for magicians to connect with their audience and showcase their tricks. Twitter, with its short and concise format, is perfect for magicians to share quick updates, teaser videos, and promotional content. Magicians can easily reach a large number of people and build a following by using hashtags related to magic. This allows them to connect with fellow magicians, fans, and potential clients. In addition to sharing content, magicians can also use Twitter to engage with their audience. They can invite followers to participate in interactive tricks or ask for audience suggestions and ideas.
Witch’s 2022 Astrological Calendar for Sabbats and Esbats
For the third year running, I present this integrated 2022 astrological calendar for Witches and pagans. As you celebrate the Wheel of the Year, these are the auspicious times and dates I recommend for planning powerful rites and spells in the Northern Hemisphere; times given are for eastern standard time zone.

They can invite followers to participate in interactive tricks or ask for audience suggestions and ideas. This not only helps them connect on a personal level but also allows them to showcase their skills in a unique way. Some magicians have even taken it a step further by creating Twitter-exclusive magic tricks.
2022 Astrological Ritual Calendar for Esbats and Sabbats
The Wheel of the Year is what modern witches like myself call the yearly ritual cycle. This time period spans between winter solstices. So, the 2022 Wheel actually kicks off anew at Yule, Dec.21, 2021, and concludes Dec. 21, 2022 Between those milestones we have 8 solar sabbats which mark the seasons, and roughly 12 lunations with full and dark moons to celebrate. So, NO BLUE MOONS this year (that only occurs every 2.5 years). For more information on the astrological accounting for blue moons, check out these articles on my Contrary Opinion and the Blue Moon Debate.
In 2022 we also have two lunar eclipses and two solar eclipses to tap for spells exploring both sides of the Taurus earth/Scorpio water elemental pairing. Solar eclipses occur at dark moons, when the sun and moon are conjunct in the same sign. The first solar eclipse occurs at Dark Moon in Taurus ♉︎ on April 30. The second one occurs at Dark moon in Scorpio ♏︎ on October 25.
Lunar eclipses occur at full moons when the sun and moon are in opposite signs. The first lunar eclipse happens at the Flower Full moon with Taurus sun/Scorpio moon May 16th. The second Lunar eclipse happens at Mourning Full moon on the flip side of the wheel with Scorpio Sun/Taurus Moon on November 8th. Time to mark those calendars!
Calendar vs. Astrological Methods
Along The Pentacle Path of Modern Witchcraft that I practice, astrology determines the auspicious times for my spiritual and magickal work. The Astrology method aligns with the Hermetic paradigm upon which all the rest of the Great Work of Magick is based. Check out this article for more about my rationale between the calendar and astrological methods of magickal timing.
Precision vs. Ease in Ritual Planning
So, when do witches hold our rituals? Astrological precision is a nice ideal, but not always practical for a modern life. If you have the freedom to celebrate any time of day, and any day of the week, by all means be as precise in your magickal timing as you can. However, we have jobs, and families, and sometimes the coven just can’t manage to get their ritual act together until the weekend.
Remember that our seasons are great tides which flow in for six and a half weeks to peak. Then they turn to ebb back out again for 6 and a half weeks. A sabbat is not ONE day; it is celebration of either a shift into the new seasonal cycle (lesser Sabbats) or the peak of that seasonal cycle (Grand Sabbats).
Ideally, we’d celebrate a lesser Sabbat anytime the week after the tide shifts into the new season. The important part is which zodiac sign the sun is in. This is because we are there to honor the cardinal new thing, not what we’ve just left behind.
By contrast, we’d celebrate the grand sabbats anytime during the week before the peak, because we are using this swelling energy to grow our Great Work intention with the fixed energies of the seasonal high tides.
The big pitfall to avoid in lunar timing is checking the time of it’s peak during that day, and in which sign the moon shines? If full moon peaks in the morning, but you want to work at night when you can see her rising, plan your rite for the night before. However, it is also important that the moon be in the sign which is opposite the sun, and that is a 2.5 day period to work with.
Winter Season – Preparation
2022 Wheel of the Year – Winter – Heron MichelleThey ask their followers to choose a playing card, think of a number, or imagine an object, and then reveal the outcome through a series of tweets. This not only adds an element of surprise and excitement but also keeps their followers engaged and coming back for more. Twitter also provides a platform for magicians to promote their shows, events, and other projects. They can share ticket information, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and exclusive discounts to attract more audience members. This helps them expand their reach and connect with potential clients from all over the world. However, there are also challenges that come with using Twitter as a platform for magic. Given the nature of the platform, it can be difficult to convey the visual and interactive aspects of a magic trick through tweets alone. Magicians must find creative ways to share their tricks, such as using short videos, GIFs, or written descriptions. Additionally, they need to be cautious about revealing too much and spoiling the surprise for their audience. Overall, Twitter provides a unique and effective platform for magicians to connect with their audience, share their tricks, and promote their work. It allows them to reach a larger audience and engage with their followers in a more interactive and personal way. With a bit of creativity and strategic thinking, magic and Twitter can indeed make for a magical combination..
Reviews for "The Magic of Collaboration: When Magicians Unite on Twitter"
1. John - 1 star - I really don't understand the hype around "Magic aren twitter". The whole concept of magic on a social media platform just doesn't make sense to me. I found the game confusing and hard to follow. The graphics were subpar and the controls were clunky. Overall, I was highly disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
2. Sarah - 2 stars - "Magic aren twitter" was very underwhelming for me. The gameplay felt repetitive and lacked any real excitement. The magical elements added little to the overall experience and seemed like an unnecessary gimmick. Additionally, the in-app purchases were pushed heavily and it became frustrating to progress without spending real money. I quickly lost interest and moved on to other games that offered a more engaging and enjoyable experience.
3. Mike - 2 stars - I got bored with "Magic aren twitter" pretty quickly. The gameplay felt monotonous and there wasn't enough variety in the tasks and challenges. The social media aspect was interesting at first, but it quickly became a distraction rather than enhancing the game. The storyline was predictable and the characters were one-dimensional. I expected more from a game with such a unique concept, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations.
4. Emily - 3 stars - While "Magic aren twitter" had some interesting elements, it ultimately lacked depth. The game felt too easy and there wasn't much challenge to it. The magic spells and abilities were fun to use initially, but they became repetitive and didn't offer much strategic value. Additionally, the graphics were outdated and the overall design felt uninspired. I enjoyed the concept of combining magic with social media, but the execution left much to be desired.
